The food was excellent, presented very well. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was cosy. However being older I felt some of the seating could have been higher off the ground. My friend and I struggled getting out of the chairs.

We booked an afternoon tea, having previously stayed at the hotel and liking the look of what was on offer. The room makes for an Imposing setting, and the very helpful staff enhance the experience. The afternoon tea had its good and bad points. Great choice of qualify teas, and good range of cakes but sandwiches had been made a while so were a bit dry and were made with cheap mass-produced white and brown bread. Overall though we enjoyed it and would return.

Absolutely fabulous from being greeted by the very helpful doorman to being served by some very experienced waiters who waited on our every need. The whole experience was well worth what we paid. The ambience of the room was perfect and the seating was very comfortable. Thank you Oulton for a lovely experience.

I visited Oulton Hall yesterday with a friend for afternoon tea. My friend has physical disabilities and the staff were really accommodating to ensure that we were discretely positioned and that she was comfortable. The food and cakes were amazing and there were far too much for the two of us but we were encouraged to take the remaining food home. There is an endless supply of hot drinks and spent a happy 4 hours enjoying the beautiful room and the pleasant ambience. I would strongly recommend this venue

My sister in law's mum Eileen was celebrating her 80th Birthday.... I took Eileen and my sister in law for Afternoon Tea as her birthday treat. We were met at the Entrance to Oulton Hall by a very polite gentleman and escorted to meet the Butler for Afternoon Tea... we were greeted very warmly by all the staff . I had requested a seat by one of the windows , where we were escorted to.....the Butler was very attentive and made sure Eileen was comfortable in her seat.. moving it forward for her. The food was excellent as was the plentiful Tea and the glass of champagne The highlight of the afternoon was when the Butler brought a slice of cake with a candle on top for Eileen to blow out...very thoughtful of the staff...also a gift of tea and a tea caddy...Eileen thoroughly enjoyed her day...Thank you Kind Regards Sandra Seed
