The Drawing Room sits within Yorkshire's only 5-star luxury hotel, Oulton Hall and serves quintessentially English afternoon tea in a majestic 18th-century mansion. Be waited on by a traditional butler in full garb as you take in the immaculate lawns and resplendent interiors at the Grade II listed Drawing Room.
A selection of finger sandwiches adorn silver-plated cake stands, with fillings including cherry smoked salmon and cream cheese and cucumber. Signature rhubarb scones accompany dishes of fresh, clotted creams and jams, along with homemade sweet pastries, fruited Yorkshire tea loaf, fine leaf teas and a range of fluffy sponges, cakes and coffee.
Imperial sofas and baroque wallpaper complement the crystal chandeliers and stately art that covers the Drawing Room walls. Heavy, draping curtains frame the grand windows, whilst shades of duck-egg blue and apricot highlight the blackened oak panelling that sweeps through the room.
Drawing Room @ Oulton Hall Hotel is a 5-mile drive from Leeds station. As well as boasting its own 27-hole golf course, the Drawing Room in Leeds is also a 15-minute drive to Temple Newsam Park golf course.

Three of us went for afternoon tea at Oulton Hall to celebrate a 70th birthday.
From the moment we arrived a touch of luxury started with the gentleman who greeted us at the door.
Wonderful service from everyone

Booked for afternoon tea on bank holiday Monday. Lovely setting. Staff very friendly and attentive. Made my 6 year daughter very welcome and provided an activity pack. Varied selection of sandwiches and cakes - loved the rhubarb scones! Would definitely come again.

A very lovely place with excellent service but badly let down by the quality of the food provided. Also parking facilities for blue badge parking were very poor.

We had a fabulous time the drawing room is beautiful and the service was first class very British. I was there with my friend and and my son's friend who is visiting from Australia. She loved the afternoon. We had plenty to eat and didn't run out of tea. Any cakes we left they boxed for us to take home. I would recommend afternoon tea here it was a very pleasant way to spend any afternoon with friends.
