Absolutely loved our experience, food was stunning and original, comfortable and cosy surroundings, attentive but not intrusive service, beautifully paired wine choices. Who knew we had this quality 25 mins away. Thanks for a fantastic evening.

Excellent ambiance matched with attentive staff, but not too attentive. We had the 5 course lunch tasting menu' all of which were of the highest standard, presented well, although we did wonder whether the explanations that accompany every course are totally necessary when the menu covers the important details. Overall a generally very pleasant experience with the food competitively priced but the wine prices difficult to justify.

A late Valentine's meal, an expensive 7 course tasting menu, neither my wife nor I having previously eaten there....a gamble? Well, it paid off. The food was exquisite and highly individual. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The wine list was solid, a good selection of varieties and varietals with only a couple of really astronomically-priced bottles. Oh, and the People-Watching aspect was great too!

As with many visits that we have made to The Clock House the service, food was first class we shall return in the not too distant future.

Enjoyable lunch. Well presented with excellent service. 3 course lunch menu was good value and the amuse-bouche very tasty. Good main courses of short rib and cod. Soon after Steve Drake left we visited and were disappointed with the quality of the food however decided to try it again and were delighted that the standard has improved vastly - we will definitely return...likely to be a firm favourite

Ambiance wa a bit lacking. Very quiet and could hear all tables conversations. Food was great, wine was good but mark up on the bottle we had was extortion. General value for money wasn’t brilliant.
