We had a really wonderful experience - importantly these days, safety is maintained- the dining room is very well arranged to leave plenty of space between tables, the Staff all wear masks and there is a hand gel dispenser on every table. The food was delicious - there were four in our party and we tried the Autumn Menu and there were no disappointments at all . We have visited the Clock House over the years and it is still a favourite!

Another fantastic lunch at The Clock House. We had the 5 course lunch menu, which was individually tailored for one guest who’s pescatarian. This was accompanied by the wine flight. This is not cheap at £120 each but is a wonderful dining experience. The service was impeccable. We will be back.

I took my wife for a lunch time treat - our first since lock-down. The entire experience was superb from start to finish. My wife doesn't drink, so the coravin wines by the glass really appealed to me. Highlight for me (unusually) was the dessert that was perfect - a mille feuille with a layers of pastry, blackberry sponge, blackberry gel and a creme fraiche cream layer to offset the sweetness, all topped with freeze dried berries. Not that the rest was far behind: excellent home made bread, hake perfectly cooked and hot (often fish is tepid in up market restaurants) on a ragout of coco bean and finely diced vegetables with vermouth sauce and a main of the best belly pork ever (slow cooked of course) with charred hispi cabbage and a delicate mustard sauce = sublime. The staff were excellent engaging, attentive and seemed to be enjoying themselves. All in all this was a faultless meal of the highest standard which we really appreciated; needless to say we shall be back soon. Martin Ellis

We were made to feel very welcome and the service was well paced. The 7 course tasting menu was well balanced, the food perfectly seasoned and the flavour combinations good to outstanding.

Service and food impeccable as usual. However given its Michelin star status I belive a basic dress code should be introduced with long trousers for gentlemen being compulsory and definitely not sportswear and flip-flops in the restaurant.
