Based within the heart of Manchester City Centre, next to St Peter's Square and Manchester’s theatreland, Don Giovannis has been an essential destination for superb Italian cuisine since 1984. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows and sumptuous furnishings, the restaurant also offers an accomplished drinks menu.

Simple but authentic Italian cuisine can be found on the Don Giovannis menu, cooked by expert chefs using only the freshest local produce. Lobster thermidor, rosy-pink fillet steak and Dover sole lead the Don Giovannis menu, while pasta and seafood dishes are blended in options like shellfish risotto, and tender steaks, chicken dishes and veal escalope are paired with rich additions.

There is a great selection of pizzas at Don Giovannis Manchester, with vegetarian toppings on offer. The dessert list includes traditional Italian favourites like tiramisu and gelati, to international classics like New York-style cheesecake. Colourful cocktails include champagne mixes and signature specials, and there is an extensive wine list.

Fresh and modern, Don Giovannis restaurant is 6 minutes’ walk from Manchester Oxford Road Rail Station.

Post theatre meal for 3 ladies. Chose from theatre menu. Four choices for each course. Main meal was a bit sparse. Could have done with more veggies. Well presented. Tasty. Reasonably priced. Busy restaurant. Acceptable time waiting for courses. Great location for both theatres.

Perfect for our pre-theatre dinner. We booked for 5pm and left at 7pm which was ideal. Only criticism was that the space between the tables was a little close but in the end this did not spoil our evening. We would definitely go again. Staff were very welcoming.

Dined here before going to theatre -service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Given a choice of table - food served quickly and was delicious.

Was a little concerned having read other reviews, but we didn't need to worry.
Don Giovanni's was bright & busy - if you want to guarantee a table you should book!
Food was great, we just had Garlic Pizza bread to start and then had both Fillet and Ribeye steaks - meat was good quality and well cooked. Washed it down with a bottle of Australian Shiraz, which wasn't overpriced!
Service was great and we didn't feel rushed even though the restaurant was very busy.
We dined pre theatre and would certainly go again and recommend to friends
