Awarded World’s Best Pastry Chef by the World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards, Dominique Ansel’s eponymous London bakery has launched its afternoon tea of sweet and savoury bites inspired by a blooming garden.
Following the path of a seed growing and blossoming into a full-bloomed flower, the menu begins with savoury bites and ends with a selection of sweets. Freshly baked, warm scones with clotted cream and homemade fresh fruit jam will also be served, as well as optional additions from wine and champagne to premium dishes like butter-poached Canadian lobster rolls and Sevruga caviar.
Other menu highlights include the Fallen Leaf, steak tartare with crème fraîche on brioche toast, the Seed, wild mushroom with confit garlic and squid ink choux, and the Bud, lavender meringue, coconut ganache, passion fruit gelée and white chocolate petals. Choose from the Signature Afternoon Tea, add a glass of bubbles with the Sparkling Tea, or opt for the Splendid, which adds butter-poached lobster roll, and Sevruga caviar with buckwheat blini & crème fraiche.
Afternoon Tea is served each Thursday-Sunday for 2 seatings at 2pm and 4:15pm in the bakery’s beautiful covered garden terrace. Dominique Ansel Bakery is a 5-minute walk from Victoria Station.
Kindly note that for afternoon tea service, changes and modifications are politely declined.

This was a lovely treat for both my daughter and me. The best cream tea we have ever had. We have wanted to visit for some time and we were not disappointed. All of the tea was superb and unique and the staff were very friendly. Lovely setting.

Wonderful champagne afternoon tea. Really superb savoury and sweet dishes, beautifully flavoured and presented, and the best scones I've ever had. Lovely staff too.

Beautiful place, exciting and carefully thought out food, it was a fantastic experience and I would like to go back again, the afternoon tea is a hidden gem, definitely recommend it. Service was very good. My only criticism is the presence of a fair amount of wasps on the day we went which did interrupt our dinning.

The food was all really good! It would have been nice if we could try a couple different teas. Also the service got slow at the end.

The afternoon tea section is beautiful...I think that even though this is for a special booking, it would be really cool if the entire interior was set up in this way. It may result in people staying longer and maybe you may want more people coming in purchasing, going out and getting the next client in, it would in my view bring the quality and beauty of the pastries and food full circle if the entire environment was like that. Same goes for your NYC branch.
Loved the afternoon tea, the beef tartare, avocado and salmon sandwiches were good. Presentation was incredible especially the scones and jam, very innovative way to do the clotted cream and jam.
Passion fruit pastry was delicious. On another note the salted caramel eclairs are always spectacular.
Had a great experience! Thank you

Great experience, we had the sparkling afternoon tea menu.
We had booked a table but it wasn’t ready on time so we had to wait for 20 min.
But once we got our table it was a great experience. The 20 minutes of waiting didn’t hurt. But it’s not fun if it happens again next time.
My favorites were the savory bits. Wild mushroom, and smoked salmon were the best. But all the savory bits were very tasty.
Sweets were nice as well but honestly after the scones I started felling full so the sweets didn’t get a fair chance. But the were of a delight and very complex and beautiful in their presentation.
