Restaurant description

Dolphin Bar & Grill is a stylish yet informal venue to enjoy great food, drink and ambiance, … right in the heart of the Dolphin Square, Pimlico.

The Bar & Grill offers and eclectic wine list, a range of creative cocktails and London brewed craft beers to complement its British grill menu. Classic dishes like beer battered fish ‘n’ chips, sausage and mash and Lobster linguine sit alongside towering burgers, flame grilled steaks and a great range of tasty vegetarian dishes. The menu is served lunch through dinner and also has a kids menu for Dolphins younger diners.

Many of the guests of Dolphin Square choose the restaurant over the array of eating places and bars in the surrounding area because of its relaxed atmosphere, modern British grill menu and value for money … as well as being so convenient. However, the Bar & Grill is enjoyed equally by others looking to enjoy lunch or dinner away from the bustle of Pimlico or Central London.

Dolphin Bar & Grill is located just a 5-minute stroll from Pimlico Tube Station.

First of all i tit important to manage expectations - this is not a fancy bar or a gourmet restaurant, but rather a grill bar set inside a fitness center, right above the indoor pool. Very casual atmosphere. People may come to eat directly from the pool/gym showers. Don't expect a fancy restaurant experience and you won't be disappointed. The service was good, courteous and efficient, although they were a bit confused at first by the fact that we reserved a table (as I said, casual). The portions were large and the burger was very good. However I have to give a low Value score since it was rather pricey - even with a Lloyd's Gourmet Society discount card we paid around 40 pounds for two meals + wine. These are prices I would expect in a gourmet restaurant or a chic rooftop bar, not in a casual eatery in a sports center.

Food was good but service was poor. The waitresses were setting up for breakfast whilst we were waiting for our main course to be served.

not brilliant - the lamb burgers had to be returned as they were under cooked and once cooked were virtually inedible.

Food was excellent and was served up hot and plentiful. Service was reasonably prompt as well as we were going to a show so needed to be away prompt. They forgot to serve our water but this was no major issue. All was fine with our meal.

A hidden restaurant but the food was generously portioned and a good choice of meals. Reasonably priced for central London and friendly service. Seafood platter was huge!

Definitely not worth the money. Very poor service and the food was mediocre at best

Our dining experience was lovely. I had advised before hand we were celebrating a birthday and all of their staff went out of their way to be so accosting to make our evening special. Thank you.

Very average. I had a goats cheese salad and added chicken. The salad was average and the chicken over cooked. The ambience is that of a fancy cafeteria attached to a fitness club.

Lovely little hidden restaurant, the term "grill" doesn't really have relevance as there was only 1 steak on the menu???? I had the steak (rib-eye) which was a nice piece of meat but was vastly overcooked, still enjoyable but not what I ordered (medium-rare). The Waiter couldn't have been more professional and attentive and offered to replace the steak as soon as he saw that it was overcooked but I declined as it was getting late. My friend had the Pork belly which was too fatty and not crisp and the desserts were not made in the kitchen, shame as I wasn't expecting the food to be "brought in" on arrival. Overall it was enjoyable but only because of the warm welcome and attentive service. Will be returning to give the Chef another chance to get it right.
