Given a 5-star review by AA Gill in the Sunday Times, Dock Kitchen Notting Hill is tucked away in the old Virgin Records complex in a Victorian goods yard on the Grand Union Canal. Initially opened as a pop-up supper club by chef Stevie Parle and his sister, the Dock Kitchen has grown into an established name on the city's restaurant scene.
Always changing, the Dock Kitchen menu is spontaneous and inspired by a variety of themes, ranging from the seasons to different authors. British classics are infused with international flavours, seen in the red-legged partridge or grouse from the Yorkshire moors, roasted with Moroccan spiced honey, Muscat grapes and couscous. Tastes of India at Dock Kitchen Ladbroke Grove can be found in vegetarian options like beetroot and chard leaf mallum with chapatti.
Overlooking the Grand Union Canal, Dock Kitchen London features eclectic, industrial-style interior, with exposed brick walls and metal beams.
Run in conjunction with British furniture and lighting designer Tom Dixon, Dock Kitchen restaurant is in easy reach of Ladbroke Grove Tube Station.

Real shame they didn't tell us when we walked into the restaurant that the heating wasn't working on one of the coldest nights of the year!
People were given blankets after they'd requested them.
Just a shame that the focus was on keeping warm than the great food that was served.

This is probably a 4.7. I like the way that the restaurant is tucked away a little bit, in an area where you might not expect to find such fine dining. I really like the location, but that is because I am under a 10 minute walk away; it will be a little far away for most people and so I suppose you have to know about it. The food and interior were both great. I liked the open kitchen. It felt like a very civilised place - it wasn't too noisy. I thought that the staff could have been a little more polished; they were quite frosty although they did not forget anything. However, it is on my list of favourite local restaurants competing with 108 Garage as somewhere quite special and absolutely delicious. Perhaps the staff will warm up if they start recognising us!

Service was great. The entree chicken livers had too much sugar rich type sauce, subtle best with chicken livers, main course great and beans spinach with the steak top marks , the desert icecream disappointed as like a multi grain on the tongue, the pistachio was dry and not sweet. Wine red was okay not great

We had a lovely meal, unfortunatly they added 2 extra random bottles of wine to our bill so after a cab ride home I had to turn back and get compensated for being overcharged. I don't think it was a accident i think it was intentional, thoroughly disappointed and was not compensated for the return taxi trip. Warn customers to check there bills there before they leave!

Excellent set lunch deal, with cocktail. Three shared starters including really tasty chicken livers.
Main course lamb biryani was served in a china pot with bread topping to be broken.
Helpful friendly service.

Having wanted to try this place for years, the food did not disappoint, sadly the service did at almost every point. Arriving super early we were shown to the terrace where there were only 2 other tables seated at this time, with so few people to serve, it still took over half an hour to be offered a drink. When all our party had arrived, again we had to wave and attract the staffs attention. By the end of the night we just expected to have to get up and go ask for what we wanted. The lack of service resulted in us spending much less on alcohol and actually deciding not to bother with the dessert we had chosen. What a shame, no excuse for such poor service, the food though is excellent and the space gorgeous.

Booked the £25pp 2 course set menu only to turn up and discover they no longer do that menu. Food was very good, and restaurant ambience lovely with the open kitchen. Staff rather amateurish, so much so that it would be me off returning.
