Amongst the vegetarian dishes, find Mediterranean roasted vegetables with Israeli cous cous and pan-fried halloumi, whilst pan-fried fillet of rainbow trout with lava bread is a popular fish option.
The fine food is complemented by an impressive wine list with bottles from around the world. Wilton Court Ross-on-Wye also boasts outdoor seating with unrivalled riverside views.

Four of us were lunching together and we all enjoyed our meal. We particularly appreciated the quiet surroundings I've. No background music which meant that we could converse in comfort. The staff were all pleasant and attentive and the food was attractively presented.

Poor. Lunch took an hour to arrive and I had ordered a salad. When it came there was hardly any of the goats cheese or tomato, mostly soggy lettuce and rock-hard croutons that were inedible. As I was in danger of cracking a tooth, I asked for it to be changed. They put in some croutons out of a packet, and a few more baby tomatoes. That was £7. My friend's dish was ok but expensive for what it was. Poor. Can't recommend. I had been before with two elderly guests and we were put into a scalding hot conservatory, and despite asking to be in the shaded part of the restaurant, which was empty, we were told there was nowhere else to sit! In the end the elderly gent had to make a bit of a fuss to get us moved. It's not great. It's a pricey place so really you expect better. Beautiful situation and old hotel.. what a shame...

The location of this restaurant is beautiful, on the bank of the river Wye it was a perfect setting to have drinks before our meal. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and carpeted so not noisy! We had crab to start, it was delicious and was a good choice as it was very light. For mains we had Demolished Beef Wellington! We had to ask what that meant, we were so pleased we had chosen it was delicious!

Poor. The gnocchi were shop bought and overall the dish lacked flavour. When we complained we were told that the chef would be informed. We also found the food to be very expensive for such poor quality.

Excellent service and friendly staff, there was a large party in the dining room so we were offered the opportunity to eat in the library which was lovely. We would not have known that there was a large party as the service was exceptional. I had the smoked salmon starter and it really could have done with some bread or a cracker. We were offered bread as a table but nobody else wanted any and being gluten free I wasn't offered any. Then I had the beetroot risotto. It was totally amazing, it has goats cheese and walnuts on the top too (the menu offered rocket but this was not on the dish- not a problem though). A lovely restaurant with tasty food. The others in my party were happy too! Giving 5 stars despite the small niggles above as they were not sufficient to lose a whole star! Very reasonable price.

Very pleasant meal, good service. Nice touch that you review the menu while in lounge then they call you to the table when food is almost ready. Thank you Helen

Booked this up for my mothers Birthday, from when we parked the car and got out, you could not fault this place. From the beautiful flowers welcoming you in. The tranquil garden was so delightful. The staff were very warm from when we walked through the door to when we left. Extremely helpful and happy to help, nothing was to much to ask. I was blown away as they had bought a box of chocolates for the birthday girl. Which was a very special touch. The food was absolutely outstanding. The taste makes you want to eat there every day.
