A fine touch from the Middle Ages – the Götzenstube restaurant in ‘The Götzenburg’ hotel, Jagsthausen, near Heilbronn transports guests to the time of knights and damsels. The creative young German cook at the Götzenstube has been inspired and influenced by the Mediterranean, and produces increasingly more exciting dishes. With the view of the Jagst as a backdrop, Götz von Berlichingen, born in Jagsthausen, allows you to savour culinary delicacies such as pike perch fillet in a bed of herbs, T-bone rump steak made from Bergkräuterochsen (type of cow. The term literally means mountain herb oxen), or crème brûlée with marinated raspberries. Larger groups can now experience really special evenings with the ‘Knight’s Tablewear’, the ‘Bishop’s Feast’, or the ‘Barons’ Banquet’ at the Götzenburg. You can delight in the regional wine specifically chosen to compliment each course. Guests get a feeling of the grandure as soon as they reach the front gate, which is at the centre of many legends throughout the history of the Götzenburg. It is here, through these gates, that you reach the lovingly restored inner courtyard and at last, the Barons’ meals are given a new lease of life. Whether you opt for a cookery course from the Middle Ages to prepare a Lordly menu by yourself, or you would prefer to allow yourself to be taken on a journey through a reenactment of a story in the historical ambience of the Götzburg, with a Barron’s supper - the Götzenstube restaurant turns an outing at the Götzenburg into a really spectacular experience!
