Restaurant description

A beautifully elegant restaurant with its home at Norwich City Football Club, Delia's is the eponymously-named restaurant from one of the nation's best-loved TV cooks: Delia Smith. With dishes cooked to Delia’s homely yet refined recipes, guests can enjoy seasonal British dishes alongside a wonderful selection of wines and other drinks. Delia’s upholds its namesake’s attention to hearty yet fine cuisine. The monthly-changing menu, attention to detail and attentive yet unobtrusive service makes for a very special dining experience.

Enter into the chic bar for drinks and nibbles, then choose 3 courses of signature favourites from Delia’s set menu of hearty, modern British dishes. Choose from dishes like crispy confit duck with sour cherries, or grilled sea bass with beurre blanc and wilted greens.

Finish your meal with coffee and one of the prized desserts at Delia’s restaurant, like hot apple and almond pudding with vanilla custard. There is also a varied wine list on hand, with bottles perfectly matched to the richly-flavoured dishes.

This was our third visit and again we enjoyed an evening of exquisite food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The catering team were extremely courteous and looked after our every need - Nothing was too much trouble. I have already booked a table to enjoy the Christmas menu in December. Can't wait! Just one small complaint - No draught beer!

The resturant is very classy, lovely decor. We particularly liked the soft music i.e not so loud that you can't hear people speak. The food was excellent especially the Roquefort soufflé, I have already looked up how to make it myself. The staff were friendly and efficient. The lighting outside could be better, it was not so easy to find on a dark night.

We were greeted, on a miserable evening, by a very warm and friendly reception. After a drink and nibbles my wife and I were led to our table. We were served by a very attentive waitress, she was helpful and looked after us very well. Both the starter and mains were excellent; very tasty and good portion size. Desert was also very nice (although I am not a desert person) and the meal was nicely rounded off with coffee and chocolate pistachio squares.

With some trepidation we visited the home of the person who wrote half the cookery books we own on a trip to see our son for a sliver wedding anniversary meal. We were not let down or disappointed. The setting was crisp and clean, the welcome was warm and inviting and the service was first class, although the wine waiter was rather eager to keep our glasses filled. The set meal was good value and the wine selection gave plenty of choice at reasonable prices. Parking was easy and convenient. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
