Lovely restauarant - friendly and efficient staff, great food, good atmosphere.

Highly recommended - much better than the options in and around Westfield shopping centre.

Set in the former Athletes' Village in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, Darkhorse Restaurant is a wonderfully chic setting of distressed concrete walls and polished wood finishings, serving modern European dishes, cocktails and fine wines.

A superb selection of classic and contemporary European flavours with British twists is served on the Darkhorse Restaurant menu. A popular tapas-style range includes options like goats' cheese crostini, and squid ink arancini, while the charcuterie selection is perfect to pair with something from the extensive wine list. There are gourmet mains like pot roast rabbit and while roast plaice, with vegetarian specialities of fresh truffle and potato ravioli.

Along with the celebrated wine list at Darkhorse Restaurant in Stratford, there is a sherry menu and signature cocktails. For pudding, enjoy crème Catalana, or the hot chocolate brioche pudding.

An intimate slice of modern European dining, Darkhorse is a wonderfully chic restaurant in London. Stratford International Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away.

So nice to be able to eat good food in a civilised environment so close to the huge shopping centre. Really helpful team - there was an issue over the timing of our online booking which they dealt with super efficiently - with excellent service in the restaurant. Interesting wine list.

An oasis of calm close to the mayhem that is Westfield Shopping Centre, the staff at Darkhorse were very welcoming and the decor very relaxing - in a modern, minimalist way. The food and wine were excellent, as was the service, so we'll definitely being visiting again.

Super cool restaurant. We are flexitarians (vegetarians at home) and you would struggle to eat here if you are vegetarian. There was several fish dishes and the one vegetarian dish had Gorgonzola cheese on it which I couldn’t have as I’m pregnant.
We really enjoyed the meat and this is definitely a meat lovers place. Think the waiters should have been clearer on ordering sides. The mains are just mains. Would strongly recommend ordering sides. We didn’t order any sides and regretted it.

Had a starter of potted mackerel, which was well seasoned and tasted very good.

I had a main course of Sea Bream, which had good support of sides, but was unfortunately overdone and dry.

My partner had a main course of a series of the smaller dishes, which were all fairly good.

We waited around an hour between sitting down and getting our food, which was definitely on the longer side of restaurants I've been to.

Our waiter got our wine order wrong, we ordered a glass each of Borsao Macabeo, not sure I've ever seen a red Borsao Macabeo.

The waiter was generally inattentive, which brought down the experience a little bit. He did not come during the meal to see if everything was okay with the food, where I would have taken the opportunity to let him know about the wine mix up.

The experience was ok - I wasn't too thrilled with how we were greeted when we arrived, the waiter didn't look happy/enthusiastic in general, which is something you would find in central London. Dishes were fine, simple and tasted nice. I had the sea bream dish with courgettes and the side spinach salad.
