Set in the former Athletes' Village in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, Darkhorse Restaurant is a wonderfully chic setting of distressed concrete walls and polished wood finishings, serving modern European dishes, cocktails and fine wines.

A superb selection of classic and contemporary European flavours with British twists is served on the Darkhorse Restaurant menu. A popular tapas-style range includes options like goats' cheese crostini, and squid ink arancini, while the charcuterie selection is perfect to pair with something from the extensive wine list. There are gourmet mains like pot roast rabbit and while roast plaice, with vegetarian specialities of fresh truffle and potato ravioli.

Along with the celebrated wine list at Darkhorse Restaurant in Stratford, there is a sherry menu and signature cocktails. For pudding, enjoy crème Catalana, or the hot chocolate brioche pudding.

An intimate slice of modern European dining, Darkhorse is a wonderfully chic restaurant in London. Stratford International Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Dark Horse whilst in Stratford for the MLB London Series. Our concierge, Anthony, highly recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint. My seafood was delicious as was my husband's steak. We also enjoyed ending the evening with an expresso martini.

Had a very pleasant tapas-style meal sitting outside in the early evening sun pre-Muse. Food was good, particularly the asparagus and lamb and chorizo skewers. Bottled beer options looked a bit pricey.

We had a really good meal at this restaurant. Everything was freshly cooked. The asparagus, I'm told, was superb. I had a main course of lamb which was perfectly cooked. Service was good. We will definitely be back.

The dining experience was underwhelming. We had been before and it was lovely but this time it wss very different.

There was no specific vegan menu and I was told I can either have toast or a salad from the brunch menu, we were eating there for diner so toast or salad is not really adequate. Last time the chef prepared me a lovely bean stew so I didn't really understand the change! The cocktails were also off. The menu had changed and the best cocktails (rose martini) had been removed.

Anytime we wanted to keep a drinks menu on the table the staff seemed annoyed. Anytime we asked the staff for something they acted as if we had interrupted them.

So overall not very friendly and I probably wouldn't come again.
