Set in the former Athletes' Village in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, Darkhorse Restaurant is a wonderfully chic setting of distressed concrete walls and polished wood finishings, serving modern European dishes, cocktails and fine wines.

A superb selection of classic and contemporary European flavours with British twists is served on the Darkhorse Restaurant menu. A popular tapas-style range includes options like goats' cheese crostini, and squid ink arancini, while the charcuterie selection is perfect to pair with something from the extensive wine list. There are gourmet mains like pot roast rabbit and while roast plaice, with vegetarian specialities of fresh truffle and potato ravioli.

Along with the celebrated wine list at Darkhorse Restaurant in Stratford, there is a sherry menu and signature cocktails. For pudding, enjoy crème Catalana, or the hot chocolate brioche pudding.

An intimate slice of modern European dining, Darkhorse is a wonderfully chic restaurant in London. Stratford International Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and interiors but was disappointed by some of the dishes. The fish pie, although advertised as a main was tiny and lacked enough fish. The 750g berg shared by two of us was very fatty and only served with 8 large chips. It didn’t feel like good value for £48. The chicken roast fared well but overall we expected more.

Sunday roast and family sunday lunch at the Dark horse, food and wine were very good, the place was fairly quiet but I would have no hesitation to come back in the evening or at the week end again. Pricing levels were reasonable

Dark Horse is always reliable as a wonderful evening out. The staff are excellent, food is amazing and they’re more than happy to cater for me as a vegan, even though their menu doesn’t include vegan dishes regularly.
We are so lucky to have this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep but it’s worth travelling for as well!

The food is superb, we found this place by accident on Bookatable as our favourite restaurant was full..........a week later we visited again.
