Second visit and just as enjoyable. Friendly service and excellent Wyld tea - wonderful flavours, creative presentation and delicious cocktails to accompany the food.

The latest bar from the award-winning Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana) and team set within the iconic Sea Containers London. Lyaness brings a cook’s approach to cocktails and flavour creation. The team present a menu based on their search and creation of unusual ingredients for their drinks, along with a curated selection of beers, wine and spirits.

Boasting views across the Thames, and a design featuring intimate smaller tables, it also has spaces for larger gatherings. The bar is warm and welcoming, whilst offering a focus on excellence, sustainability and innovation that the Mr Lyan team have become world famous for.

Tea at Lyaness uses this approach to bring cocktails into the classic afternoon tea setting. Featuring a signature White Jasmine Cake with Blanc de Blancs Champagne, through to a full selection of delicate sandwiches (like our burnt apricot Coronation Chicken), beetroot devilled eggs, pineapple upside-down scones & Earl Grey eclairs balanced with cocktails, petit fours and fine loose-leaf tea, Afternoon Tea at Lyaness brings a contemporary take on the classic.

Find Lyaness at Sea Containers on London’s South Bank. Southwark and Blackfriars Tube stations are both a short walk away.

Busy spot. Nice sandwiches & savouries but no scones! Desserts were ok. Cocktails were nice but on the small side. Not sure it was worth the money.

It was fantastic and quite different to the ones I've had previously. I have had afternoon Tea in many exclusive london hotels but I loved the attention to detail here. There were edible flower decorated on all of the sandwiches, beautiful touch and the gold edible leaves on the pastries was also sumptuous. I also thought the portmeiron tableware was very appropriate for the wyld tea! Our waitress was enthusiastic and helpful which was nice to see.

Not a lot of space on the table. Tea was a little weak. Too much sweet and not enough savoury. Staff were fantastic. Champagne was very good. Location was great.
