Restaurant description

Named after the character created by Virginia Woolf, Dalloway Terrace is an elegant, poetic and quintessentially English space.

Fully heated in winter, this year-round destination restaurant and bar offers the peace and charm of a secluded secret garden in the winter, and a light, elegant and beautiful al fresco space in the spring and summer months. Light breakfasts, brunch and all-day favourites make up the Dalloway Terrace menu, with a range of cocktails and wines also available.

With the #DallowaySpringGreenhouse, be transported to a whimsical overgrown greenhouse and dine underneath an abundance of cascading roses and sweetpeas. Inspired by the grounds at Virginia Woolf's country home, the stunning English garden surroundings are completed by a selection of fragrant herbs in charming terracotta pots found throughout the restaurant. Embracing the change of the season, savour the flavours of seasonal spring dishes alongside floral cocktails that nod to those quintessential spring classics

Set in the heart of the historic and vibrant Bloomsbury, London’s literary centre, this beautiful indoor-outdoor space is just a 2-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Station and the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and Soho.

Dishes displayed on a la carte menus are representative of the type of food available at the restaurant.

Very nice welcome. Polite, helpful and efficient staff. Loved the pretty setting. Bit draughty near the door so glad of the blankets. Lovely wine - Journeys End Sauvignon Blanc. Cheese fondue was what we were really looking forward to - fitting for the winter installation, tasty and good fun though a little expensive at £32. Rack of lamb and trout delicious though Swiss chard not enjoyed. Chocolate bombe impressive and delicious.

Nice and cozy experience for my birthday breakfast. Staff was polite and helpful, The smashed avocado toast was tasty, and the decor was amazing. My friend told the staff it was my birthday, and they easily provided me with a piece of birthday cake. Will come again!

Starters were great. The mains were overcooked and served cold. Great venue on the outside of the hotel.

I really enjoyed visiting Dalloway Terrace. Lovely decor, nice food and great friendly service. I had afternoon noon and it was amazing, very filling and couldn’t eat it all. Presentation was spot on. Would definitely go back and maybe try the brunch. Location is lovely and a great little walk around the area surrounding the restaurant.

Lovely, very photogenic restaurant, and attached to the beautiful Bloomsbury Hotel so you can go to the bar before or after. Service friendly and attentive. Unless you’re seated right under a heater it can be cold as it is literally a Terrace, so not a place to wear your most skimpy outfit. Food a touch pricey for what it was, which rules it out of a regular visit for me, but well worth it for special occasions due to the unique setting.
