An authentic Italian restaurant decorated in rustic Mediterranean style, Da Vinci in Yarm serves traditionally prepared food to Stockton-on-Tees. Adorned by old wooden wine barrels and impressive artworks, Da Vinci is a family-run restaurant with an unpretentious approach.

Fine Italian salamis, flatbreads and bruschetta are among the antipasti beginning your Da Vinci meal, while the freshly made pizzas include the popular folded calzones. You can also design your own from the selection of tasty toppings on the Da Vinci menu.

Tempting pastas include fettucine with roasted pine nuts and spinach, and crayfish and samphire linguine. Creamy risottos burst with the flavours of smoked haddock, pea and prawn or leek and wild mushroom.

Sicilian fish stew, fillet steak and slow-cooked lamb shoulder are among more hearty mains at Yarm’s Da Vinci restaurant, with the bar serving up a wide range of wines, bottled beers and champagne. Da Vinci’s is a 3-minute drive from Yarm Train Station.

One main course went back (salmon), the other 6 mains and the 7 starters were excellent. The manager took 10 per cent off the bill and obviously we didn't pay for the salmon. I've been several times before and will go again, they can't get everything right all of the time so long as the staff deal with it in the right way I can accept that.

Good atmosphere, no cheezy music, just lots of people enjoying themselves. Food was lovely, good menu to choose from, special but not pretentious. Visible kitchens - chef's never stopped working all night. Service was excellent. Good value for money.

Good food but a bit disorganised and overcrowded. We waited an hour for our meal at a table that wobbled so much it spilled our drinks. The food was good and the price was very reasonable. It was packed which is a good sign. However we won't be going back. Too crowded. Too noisy and too slow.
