Accessed by a unique glass lift, Crafthouse brings sophisticated British cuisine to the 5th floor of the glamorous Trinity Shopping Centre. The marble and pewter-clad dining room features a bustling open kitchen, offering full view of the chefs.
With an aim to source all produce from within a 50-mile radius, the Crafthouse menu is compiled by head chef Lee Murdoch. A specialist josper grill cooking method sees succulent meat cuts and fresh fish cooked to a searing 480 degrees, with choices including fillet steak, or native east coast lobster.
During warmer weather, enjoy glamorous cocktails and fine wines on the sprawling al fresco terrace, with views out onto the city skyline. Crafthouse in Leeds features specially commissioned local artwork, while heavy materials and eclectic textures create a bold, industrial feel.
A fashionable favourite for elegant British cuisine, family-friendly Crafthouse also offers a children’s menu designed specially for younger guests. Leeds Train Station is a 5-minute walk away.

Staff very polite and attentive Chairs were worn and threadbare, disappointing for a supposedly high end restaurant Food was excellent although main course was slow coming despite only one other table being occupied

Booked afternoon tea for 4 people for my birthday celebration. The food was excellent as was the service from the staff. Unfortunately the restaurant had a function booked for 6pm and for the majority of our visit we were disturbed by the moving of tables, chairs and even a large sofa! We made the point that the restaurant should not have taken our 3.30 booking knowing that there would be so much disruption. After some discussion the bill was waived.

Starter of seared salmon was unusual and excellently flavoured. Sunday roast was good and better than most of its kind. The house white wine very good and better than the list of reds. All in all an enjoyable meal. Service very attentive and pleasant. Note that it is not sensible to serve coffee before the dessert - got cold and had to be re-ordered.
