Noisy - DJ upstairs. All seafood courses unavailable. Only grilled options on menu. Not a great meal. Wine and service were good. Good starter.

Situated right at the front in a wee section that tended to cut us off from the rest of the place making us feel a bit like being in the cheap seats because we were using a voucher. Staff and service was great though

We had a voucher for two. The venue itself was lovely although when we arrived very busy and found the ecoustics somewhat a challenge to hear each other speak. No coats were asked to be hung up so we put them on back of chairs. The waiter gave us the wrong menu which i thought was really unacceptable. The meal was very nice, but I feel the service let the place down. There was no banter with the customer which I missed. Dont think i will be back.

Restaurant selected for proximity to Playhouse Theatre. Fairly restricted menu on offer but sufficient to make a choice from. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu was available - really? on a Friday early evening? - not very good planning!! Being honest, the food was not as good as we would have expected, steaks were beyond medium rare and the venison dish lacked....some venison. Due to wait time (service was on slow side) we had no time to return our food and get to the Playhouse on time!
Ambience? - there was also no chance of a quiet meal when 40+ American tourists descended on the restuarant! Are they all deaf or do most Americans just shout at each other? I would guess the latter!
So whilst the location for the Playhouse Theatre was ideal, the food was not of a standard to make us rush back. But I doubt my small party could again endure the volume of another 40 American Tourists. Finally, to cap it all, their card reader did not work and after waiting yet another 5+miniutes in the restaurant I was invited up to the ground floor reception to find another card reader that worked. I made my show - just!
