Housed in the supremely chic Courthouse Hotel in Shoreditch that used to be an actual courthouse, Jailhouse Bar is a plush lounge that serves up inventive signature cocktails, premium spirits, and a selection of small plate recipes. There are private cells where prisons used to be held before trial, and even two bowling lanes to test your skills on.

An eclectic selection of international small plate recipes and sharing options are served on the Jailhouse Bar menu. A trio of sliders top chargrilled beef with truffle mayo, chicken caesar, halloumi and quince jam, while the vegetable spring rolls are served with tamarind soy dip. The sandwich selection includes the Smokehouse Stack burger, rib eye steak sandwich, with onion rings and truffle fries available on the side.

Jailhouse Bar in Shoreditch is famed for its inventive cocktails, which include signature recipes like the Toblerone martini, and the Strong Box, made with bourbon and Cherry Marnier, black cherry conserve and a dash of absinthe. There are also international beers on tap, and a comprehensive wine list and range of premium spirits.

Filled with eclectic regal and contemporary interior style, Jailhouse Bar is a plush treat. Old Street Tube Station is a 7-minute walk away.

Hmm this is a tough one. The actual hotel is stunning and the staff are very friendly but the afternoon tea was terrible! There wasn't much of a selection, the teas are just packets that I could of brought in the shop and had at home. We were only given one pot of hot water and that was if. No one came back to check if were okay or wanted anything else. I would go back to the hotel for drinks but would never have afternoon tea there again.
