Sister restaurant of highly acclaimed The Dairy, Counter Culture is a laidback snack bar overlooking Clapham Common. The best of the season’s produce is picked, fermented, cured and bottled, and served alongside meat, fish and vegetables to create delicious, simple snacks.

The Counter Culture menu is short but packed with flavour. Tuck into the likes of sour potato flat bread, with nduja, and cultured cream, beef tartare with bone marrow salad cream and caviar, or lamb kebab with pickled cabbage and a steamed bun. Sweet treats like strawberry and limoncello trifle round off the menu.

An intimate setting, wooden tables sit in view of the open kitchen. Large windows looking out onto the common add to the relaxed atmosphere.

Showcasing the dedication to produce that has seen The Dairy awarded such high praise, Counter Culture Clapham sits seconds from Clapham Common Tube Station.

WE FOUND YOU VIA GOOGLE - 10 BEST RESTAURANTS IN CLAPHAM
ON THE WEBSITE, THE RESTAURANT LOOKED VERY COOL - WHAT WE WOULD EXPECT OF A LONDON RESTAURANT. IT WAS VYING WITH SOME OTHER GREAT LOOKING PLACES. THE MENU SOUNDED FAB. WE LIKED THE IDEA OF THE REALLY SMALL SCALE
WE COULDNT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE - IT WAS PERFECT SCALE, INTIMACY, AMBIANCE, MUSIC AND ESPECIALLY FOOD - AND THE STAFF WERE BRILLIANT. ITS A GREAT IDEA - WE SAT AT THE BAR AND THEY WERE PART OF OUR MEAL. WE CHATTED THE WHOLE TIME. THEY WERE REALLY NICE, VERY INFORMATIVE AND GOOD COMPANY.
IF WE LIVED THERE WE'D BE IN 2X A WEEK
    A GREAT BIG THANK YOU

Loved Counter Culture - great experience and delicious, unusual food. Would highly recommend to any one.

Our visit to Counter Culture was outstanding from start to finish. It's a very cosy restaurant where you eat against the wall on wooden counters, with a great old school soundtrack and genuine staff that clearly care about what they are creating (really refreshing compared to some pretentious places you find in London). The cocktails are well crafted and delicious. The tapas style dishes sounded inventive and intriguing and when it came to eating them, we were blown away by the flavours and the detail given to each element of the dishes. We really appreciated everything. So yes, it is a special place and if you're into food you won't be disappointed.

Delicious dishes, staff were polite very reasonable price.

Only complaint was the cheese - nice but a but meagre.

We had a great time in the cosy and intimate atmosphere at Counter Culture. The staff were very interactive and helpful. We were recommended to go through the dishes one by one, which was a great way to eat. The octopus could have have had a bit more flavour, but that is being pretty harsh on what was all round a fantastic selection of dishes. The leek dish with molasses was an unexpected stroke of genius, and the pig tails were an expected stroke of genius. Great experience all round.

Amazing! Loved it! Loved that fact there were less than 15 covers, great service, amazing food and BYO. The waiters were really involved and knowledgeable and spent time talking through the menu. Food was delicious and could have eaten it all again! Will come back.
