Food was delicious, didn't have to wait too long despite it being busy Sunday lunchtime. Our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Just a 2-minute walk from Covent Garden tube station, Cote Restaurant serves straightforward and freshly prepared French food at value for money prices in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Winner of the award for 'Best Value Restaurant in the UK' in the Good Food Guide 2009, the inspiration for the food and design comes from a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros found throughout Paris. Since the locals have turned away from overpriced and over-complicated cuisine in Paris' more formal restaurants, there has been a revived interest in returning to the simple basics of French bistro cooking.

The Cote menu offers classic dishes including Steak Frites, Salad Niçoise, and free-range chicken from the Les Landes area of France. There are also lighter dishes such as Roast Sea Bass with olive oil mash and a garlic and tomato dressing, or Salmon Hollandaise. Crème Caramel and Crème Brûlée are the house specialities for dessert.

Firstly, restaurant had no record of my booking. Luckily were able to fit us in anyway
However, service was efficient, no long waits, yet we weren't rushed and the food good value and delicious from the pre theatre set menu, which we found had plenty of choice, something for everyone. We finished with freshly brewed pots of tea which for me 'hit the spot'
Ideally situated as we were booked round the corner at the Duchess Theatre

Friendly and efficient service. We mainly had the set lunch menu which is great value and still high quality. Steak frites a particular favourite!

I am an addict of Cote restaurants. I regularly visit the ones in Cardiff, Brighton, Soho and Sloane Square. The standard of food is consistently good and varies remarkably little between restaurants.
For me, the Staff are Cote's prime asset. Without fail they are friendly, helpful, bright and professional.
The chain is the best of its type in this country.
