Basking in the glory of multiple pub guide awards and recommendations, Corn Mill is a picturesque country pub and restaurant in Llangollen. As its name suggests, the pub is a converted mill on the banks of the River Dee, boasting a breathtaking 700-year heritage.

Vibrant pan-fried squid and chorizo salad on the Corn Mill menu is served with chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables, and features alongside braised shoulder of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes, spring vegetables and gravy. Traditional British classics include pork and leek sausages with mash, cabbage and onion gravy, while a sophisticated dark chocolate truffle torte enjoys the company of honeycomb ice cream.

Part of the celebrated Brunning & Price group, the Corn Mill pub in North Wales boasts a charming interior of high beamed ceilings and rustic exposed floorboards. The al fresco terrace overhangs the river, and is the perfect setting for one of the pub’s sophisticated wines or silky cask ales.

A secluded country pub, The Corn Mill is a 20-minute drive from the centre of Wrexham.

I booked a table for 7 people and my request to sit near the window was met. We had a lovely waitress who was great fun and joined in our laughter throughout the evening. Unfortunately my first choice (fish stew) was off the menu however I had fish and chips which were lovely. The meals were lovely however the two Risotto's tasted very strange with a chemical/disinfectant type taste. However our evening was lovely and we would definately recommend and return again

We really enjoyed our meal at the Corn Mill. I requested a table with a river view as it was my partners birthday, which was provided, very romantic. The restaurant was very busy, with good atmosphere and service was prompt and friendly.

We visited early one evening and had an excellent time . The meals were all delicious and the staff were friendly but gave us time between courses to relax and chat. I would say that the starters are rather large . Personally I would make them smaller and charge less. The main courses are quite large so it would be nice to enjoy both without having to leave any food on the plate. People with walking difficulties need to know there are two lots of stairs to negotiate. So worth mentiong while booking to have a table with easier access.

Food was good. So was service. The Corn Mill is situated in a fantastic location overlooking and alongside the rapids of the River Dee at Llangollen.
Great spot. We shall go there again that's for sure.
