    Restaurant had good reviews, so was a little surprised & worried that it was so empty when we arrived at 8pm.
    They did not know we had booked a deal, then couldn't find the right menu, then took 20 mins or more to take our order!!! Despite the fact that there were so many empty tables
    However, food arrived promptly & was very good. The service was actually good (after the false start) staff were friendly, attentive & helpful. Will definatetly be returning.

    We were very early diners thanks to something we were doing after dinner. We got there at 5:30pm and the place was empty. It was half price steaks on Monday so that was an extra bonus, as we'd booked the table for the Monday, weeks in advance online with no idea of their half price offer. The staff were perfect, friendly, attentive and welcoming. We ordered drinks, the house red (Malbec) was superb for a house wine, and my wife's cocktail was delicious! It had passion fruit in it and white rum, can't remember what it was called but I'm pretty sure she'd return to Comador all the way from the North Cotswolds, just for the drink. I ordered the ribeye medium and my wife had the fillet rare. They were sensational. We dine out a lot and have really high standards when it comes to steak. We always end up disappointed, comparing the place we're in to our favourite steak place, but this place didn't just match it, I think they beat it. The chips were fantastic, the sauces were excellent, as was the spinach. Everything on the plate was perfection. It was all part of a birthday celebration for my wife and it couldn't have been a better choice. They even brought out a complimentary 'Happy Birthday' dessert. By the time we left it had certainly filled up, and I can see why.

    Amazing food, I loved every bit of the weekend brunch, service was impeccable and super friendly waiting staff. They kept our glasses topped up during our bottomless brunch.

    Everything was good. The porterhouse was great. The potato mash was a bit salty but it worked. The service was really good.

    It wasn't as good as previous times, but it was also much busier. I ordered the picana steak rare which was cooked to perfection. My OH and sister both ordered the charrasco, and ordered as rare as they could get (as it's quite a fatty cut). Medium rare was recommended, so that's what they went for. Both their steaks looked beautifully charred.... but both were blue. Clearly not enough cooking or resting time, but as the restaurant was so busy it was difficult to get a staff member over to get it cooked more, so they just ate what they could. Some of it was inedible due to the sinew which was rather disappointing. On the other hand the sides of sweet potato fries, asparagus and hispi cabbage, and my foie gras were all excellent, and my wine was delicious. Overall very good, great cuts of meat, just have to watch how they are cooked.
