The visit didn’t start well because I’d been trying to call the hotel to ask some questions. Literally tried everyday for a week yo no avail and even more frustratingly on the day of the visit I called, 4 times holding on for at least 5 minutes, each time the call was answered, I heard talking and was then cut off. So we arrived very frustrated. BUT that changed when we saw the decor and experienced the excellent customer service from the Urban Beach Bar staff. The food was light and delicious, looked like small portions but filled us up. And the Pimms literally kept coming, as did the Prosecco in the other tables. We loved the hotel and will def be going back

Booked the Afternoon tea with bottomless pimms. Pimms was great and they refilled us regularly. Afternoon tea was nice but sparse in relation to other afternoon teas we had elsewhere. Getting the ferry from Canary Wharf pier was lovely. Restaurant was very nice as was the service and the views were great as well. Overall had a fantastic day. Thanks

Food was excellent, We would have liked more savoury sandwiches, there were far more cakes, which were delicious, I’d never had anything like them before. Only grumble, we would have liked more clotted cream with our scones, the waitress asked the chef but was told no as it is the correct portion size, we asked to pay for more clotted cream but the chef still said no!

Afternoon tea with Bottomless Pimms on Urban Beach - the tea is served at the outside tables on the terrace next to the river overlooking Canary Wharf Buildings. They have a tiny section of sand with two deckchairs for the beach part. The tea consists of 2 quarter sandwiches + 2 savour puffs, 1 scone with jam and clotted cream + fruit cake + 3 small cakes - so don't go too hungry. The Pimms is filled by the waiting staff rather than leaving you a jug on the table so refills are dependant on how busy the staff are and how many tables are there so it is a bit hit and miss. The food was nice, waiting staff pleasant and when the sun shone, the venue was nice. My friend and I were there on a deal - two for one which made it value for money but for weekend booking we had to pay a £10 surcharge and if you want the pimms extended from 60 minutes to 90 minutes it was another extra £15 so you could end up paying more that the initial offer. Overall experience was ok.

Loved it, as always. Excellent service at all times and the best view of Canary. The sandy beach keeps the young ones occupied while adults can have afternoon tea.

Absolute disgrace!! The location was nothing like the pictures advertised, no beach at all!!. Had to wait 40 minutes before our Pimms arrived and for the first 15 minutes it was ok, glasses being topped up. However. after that we got no service at all. At one stage I had to go and find a staff member to get our glasses refreshed. Overall in the hour you get we did not get any more than one jug of watered down and weak Pimms, which goes against their supposed "bottomless" offer. £34 for this experience is still way over priced, could have got similar for less than £20 elsewhere. The Hilton Chain should be embarrassed for what they provided!!

Lovely afternoon tea service was excellent. Bottomless Pimms did not have to ask for top up. However Pimms seemed too watered down, but we still had a great time. Would recommend as it’s also a lovely location .
