classic attention to detail from entrance car valets to waiters and bar staff. MEALS WERE DUPERB. HALIBUT AND COD MAINS GORGEOUS. VENISON STARTERS WITH BEETROOT unusual and superb. Ante courses unusual and refreshing. CHOICE OF WINES WAS LOVELY AND NO PRESSURE TO OVER INDULGE (DRIVING).

The meal was one of the best we have ever had and we have been to some nice Michelin star restaurants. Our first visit to Colette's. The Foie Gras starter was divine. The service was the usual Grove exceptional service.

I love The Grove anyway but Colettes really was the icing on the cake. What a beautiful restaurant!! From the moment we arrived from the moment we left the whole experience was lovely. The décor in the bar and restaurant were understated and stylish, the service was impeccable and the food was absolutely wonderful from the amazing sour dough bread, to my beef tartare to a main course of cod. We really appreciated that each cheese on the cheese board came with its own accompaniment - particularly the bacon jam. Just delicious. I only wish that every time I visit The Grove it wasn't pouring with rain. I want to have a drink in those lovely gardens but it was struggling with an umbrella as usual. Never mind - it was an exceptional experience.
