Once again we had a superb lunch with excellent service and ambience. The crispy ham hock was a triumph of taste and texture. Our only “disappointment” was a friend didn’t want a dessert but asked for the cassis sorbet which accompanied one of the desserts. She was presented with one spoonful and was charged a full dessert price. This was a bit mean.

Very good service as usual, good ambience, food par excellence. Great value for money and a lovely drive out on sunny autumn morning.

All the Barmen and waitresses were very professional and attentive. The food was out of this world! Truly amazing and we had a really lovely evening. We will certainly be back! There was a particularly difficult group upstairs who quite frankly were rude, arrogant and obnoxious and every one of your lovely staff dealt with them in a superb manner.

Four of us took advantage of the November lunch offer. Welcome and service were excellent. We enjoyed various dishes and flavours with good fish and meat. The chocolate dessert was perhaps a little heavy.

    Booking service excellent
    Enviromental and decor excellent
High tea experience was nice but not as good as I expected it to be.
We also had to ask (after waiting for some time) for milk for our coffee on more than one occasion. The service from the front of house staff was inconsistent, one asked if we would like hot milk with our coffee another just brought cold without giving the choice. They were however very polite.
I think that booking for lunch is a better option than the high tea and the reason I say this is that lunch is fantastic, and I have had nicer high teas for less cost at other local hotels.

Second time I’ve eaten here.........both have been faultless. Superb staff and amazing food.

Our lunch was exceptionally good from cocktails to dessert. The quality of service was very good - a great combination of professionalism and informality was demonstrated by the waitress, something that is unfortunately quite rare. The food, as always, was not only faultless but of a very high standard, the confit trout was the best I've had and the guinea fowl and cod main courses exceptionally good. It is a real treat to eat at Kentisbury and of course it is also very good value for money. We sincerely hope that this remains the case and wish the staff and management all the very best.

This was a special lunch for the three of us (my wife, myself and our seventeen year old son) - our 22nd anniversary.

We live locally and heard only good things about the Grange and were keen to find out how it 'stacked' up. I have to say that everything was as we had anticipated - exquisite food, beautifully presented and professionally served by Ashley (?). Our seventeen year old is becoming a bit of a 'foodie' loved our first course - the trout. My favourite was the giunea fowl - though I could have done with a few extra vegetables?

Thanks for making our occasion so memorable - we will enhance the already outstanding reputation of the restauarant with all we mix with.

    Kind regards

    Mark Juby

An exquisite dining experience as always. Every morsel was delicious. The only issue which arose was the fact that the pheasant breast ordered by a visitor from Australia was exceedingly rare and he couldn't bring himself to eat it. In all fairness, the waiter offered to replace it, but he declined the offer. I had pheasant too, and it was utterly delicious. Everything else was perfect. Service was immaculate as always
