What an amazing place with incredible staff and the view is breathtaking, a perfect place to ask my girlfriend to marry me and the staff gave us a nice congratulations surprise!

An ultra-fashionable hideaway on Manchester’s trendy Deansgate, Cloud 23 serves flashy bespoke cocktails and refined afternoon tea. A slick, penthouse-style setting, surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the city.

Cocktails inspired by the city are served at Cloud 23 Manchester. Sample the likes of the crimson-coloured Vertigo- a refreshing mix of Bombay Sapphire, pomegranate juice and lychee liqueur. An accomplished wine list and fine international beers are also served from the sweeping bar.

Offsetting the cosmopolitan cocktail mixes, Cloud 23 Deansgate presents a quintessentially British selection for afternoon tea. Towering assortments of dainty finger sandwiches, fresh scones and classic cakes like Victoria sponge and rich éclairs make for a crowd-pleasing selection.

In fiercely on-trend surroundings, Cloud 23 bar is 3 minutes’ walk from Deansgate Rail Station.

Very disappointing as a venue aside from being high up.Decor is tired with dirty tables and chairs.Service was ok, but afternoon tea was not very good, basic, with food that felt shop bought, certainly not what you would expect from a Hotel like the Hilton.

Certainly not impressed. The chairs we were led too were covered in crumbs and hair. The sandwiches were obviously not fresh, tasted like they had languished in a fridge for days.
For a newish hotel the furniture and decor were very dated. The only positive was the view.

This is the first time I had visited cloud 23 and sadly it is likely to be the last. From the start of our visit to the end was very disappointing. Upon arrival we faced a queue which wasn’t unexpected, however there seemed to be a lack of organisation. It seemed that having a reservation, queueing wasn’t necessary however we had to ask the member of staff operating the lift where we were to go.
Once we were sent up to the bar we were greeted with friendly happy staff. We asked for a window seat as this was a birthday celebration. Whilst the area we sat in was cold I expected that due to being near the window, so I wrapped my coat around me and try to enjoy myself. When I took my seat I noticed food and rubbish between the chairs and the window, really quite grubby. The table top was clean but the sides were not, what looked like old tea/drink stains that and ran down the table and not cleaned.
Service although pleasant was slow. The afternoon tea we ordered at £25 per head was basic, lacking in imagination and extremely under whelming. During the tea on two occasions staff had forgotten to bring the tea out and had to be reminded that we were waiting. Your website boast the height of luxury, however this experience was anything but luxurious. From the areas I saw, the restaurant and toilets are tired and in serious need of a facelift.

Cloud 23 is on 23rd floor of Hilton Hotel. The afternoon tea was delicious and served in comfortable surroundings. The window tables for the best view are for 2 or 3 people. We sat at a table for 4 people and were still able to see a certain amount of the view. We moved to the bar area of Cloud 23 when we had finished our afternoon tea and were able to sit by the windows and enjoy a cocktail. We enjoyed the cocktails and the view and thought that the whole experience was an enjoyable afternoon.

I took my mum and my sister for afternoon tea as. Special treat for Christmas. We had an average afternoon tea (nothing special considering the price). It was, however, very enjoyable because the waiter was so friendly and attentive. We were sat on low seats at a small coffee table rather than at a dining table.
The live music was most disappointing as it was a primary school choir. I had expected something much more sophisticated and professional.
The emergency alarm sounded whilst we were there and the whole building was evacuated- apart from us because the lifts were not in use and there was no way to get my disabled mother down 23 flights of stairs.
I have written to complain about this and the disappointing music but have not received a satisfactory reply.
