I have known this restaurant for sometime and was a little apprehensive when it shut to be refurbished and made larger . Would there be a loss of intimacy , would the excellent service suffer and most important of all would the kitchen maintain it's high standard with increased volumes ? NO FEAR the redesign could not be faulted and all the previous marvellous qualities and excellent menu have been retained . Well done Sally Clarke ! I have already made future bookings to share my delight with close friends

When you have lunch with an old friend, there's so much to talk about that you want the food to be excellent, in an understated, well, what did you expect? kind of way. And it was; I even tried the gnocci, which can be such a mistake, but I somehow knew it wouldn't be here, and it was fabulous. My friend sank her molars into what looked like an excellent steak. We were 4 (2 UK, 2 US) and had dinner about 19.30. We hadn't been for 20 years due to living abroad Felt just as good as the last time, except better as more menu choice. Excellent evening. Sally Clarke even came out and took our order. Food was fresh, original and excellent. Couldn't fault the house.

we both had the set menu. The food is always top notch but the lamb with minted pea risotto was absolutely delicious, and a surprise as the menu i'd seen said that the main was pork belly. The trout starter was lovely and fresh and the pear and apple tart was very good as well. Thank you clarks

I returned to Clark's for the first time in a long while. The menu is broader, but everything else was consistent with my pleasant memories. We dined at an early hour during the week, so it was very quiet at first, but warmed up by normal dinner time. The service was spot-on: pleasant and attentive but not stifling. First courses were excellent; veal chop entree was excellent too; fish was good but not quite as good as the veal.

Dined at lunch time - not cheap but excellent food & good wine list.Very welcoming ,light & pleasant ground floor room - little bit cramped for business talk but cant think of many places that would be nicer for a meal with friends
