Restaurant description

Found on the fringes of iconic Spitalfields Market, Cinnamon Kitchen has a reputation as one of the best contemporary Indian restaurants in London. Dine at the sophisticated Cinnamon Kitchen counter bar, sample delights from the specialist sizzling tandoori grill or eat at the slick outdoor terrace, popular for year-round al fresco dining.

Showcasing artistic presentation, The Cinnamon Kitchen menu reveals decadent modern Indian creations like caramelised ox cheek with date and apricot sauce, aubergine and masala peanut crumble or Scottish lobster momo’s with tomato and curry leaf.

From acclaimed TV chef Vivek Singh, Cinnamon Kitchen London is sister restaurant to the highly acclaimed Cinnamon Club in Westminster. The plush Anise bar has a regal air, where you can sample grazing platters and vibrantly spiced cocktails with exotic flavours, adorned with delicate flower petals.

Fusing funky, contemporary design with traditional Indian textiles, Cinnamon Kitchen Bishopsgate is housed in a theatrical warehouse setting. Liverpool Street Rail Station is just a 3-minute walk away.

It was so so good! A total feast and incredibly high quality and excellently executed dishes. I think there was a slight mix up but we got a glass of champagne each too as well as a cocktail. Even more of a treat :)

Had the London feast menu. Plenty of food between 4 people, great selection and even had a cocktail included. It was my birthday and upon telling the waiter he came out with a dessert with Happy Birthday writing along with glasses of Prosecco which really made the night. Delighted with service, although it was a bit slow in the beginning to bring the food out.

It was very noisy and the staff were overworked which meant that we had to wait a long time to get their attention. I even made the comment jokingly to one of them once we eventually got their attention “don’t forget about us”. He looked at me in bewilderment. The food was ok, mediocre. There are much better and cheaper Indian restaurants in London. Also the tables are so big that when talking across to the person opposite you, it’s hard to hear eachother. Positive was the desserts were good which is unusual for indian restaurants.

We had a lovely evening, the cinnamon belllini was lovely as were all of the courses however the vegetarian starter which was crispy kale and other ingredients was superb. Neither my husband or I are vegetarians but this dish was packed with amazing flavours and had a nice texture/crunch to it.
