Restaurant description

From the team behind the popular Cinnamon Club in Westminster and recipient of a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2018, Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden offers modern Indian cooking that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London.

Incorporating influences from across the globe, the Cinnamon Bazaar menu features small plates like Indo-Chinese chicken wings with burnt chilli dip, Tandoori Kentish lamb fillet with mint chilli korma and Malabar boatman’s haddock curry with kokum and green mango chutney. Speciality chaats offer street food-style savoury bites, including vegetable samosa with tangy tamarind chutney, and lentil dumplings with spiced yoghurt and toasted cumin.

From the bar comes an array of innovate signature cocktails, as well as a large selection of wines and spirits. The unique space at Cinnamon Bazaar restaurant showcases stunning patterned tiles and illuminated hanging lanterns, as well as colourful hand-painted graphics.

Great food, great service. Not the cheapest one but worth its price. One problem I faced was my reservation. When I arrived my name wasn't in their system. Luckily we've been seated immediately.

Excellent experience full round. The tingling of tastes and the lack of typical post dinner heaviness are signs of great cuisine. Hotly recommended

Food was wonderful and service once seated excellent, overall very enjoyable if a little rushed due to late seating and a theatre booking. Only criticism was that we waited over 20 minutes to be seated and had to just stand in a queue whilst waiting even though we had booked for 5.30 was about 5.55 before we got taken to our table. I appreciate they were busy but they need a better system if they are running late, should have been offered a seat and the opportunity to get a drink or something.

An absolutely wonderful experience - The incredible food tasted delicious, looked amazing and were very generous portions. Haven't stopped recommending the meal since my visit.

Much nicer than Soho location, better tables and comfort. Tasting menu extremely good, a lot of food, great choices and excellent value. Lovely staff.

Light and buzzing atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was good but service was slow. We were upstairs which seemed to cause a delay, particularly with drinks.

The food and cocktail was excellent but the service was a little slow. This was due to the place being absolutely "rammed" but it still did not help our experience.

We had the 9 dish sharing deal. The food, service and cocktail were all exceptional

Very different from the Cinnamon Club! Very casual, tables not set - cutlery and paper napkins in a jug. Warm welcome, opted for nine course taster menu including a cocktail. Long wait for cocktail. The starter were unusual and delicious, chicken wings very hot. The shepherds pie , Cod and prawns that followed were delicious, as was the carrot and toffee pudding and clove ice cream. Flavours of every dish were unique and well blended. Waiter a little distracted.

We went for the 9 course taster menu. Loved all the dishes, however we couldn't do justice to the last three; cod, shepherds pie and prawn because we had filled up on the previous 6 dishes. If we go again we would request the last 3 dishes be served first.
