Booking went well. Chung Ying was very busy and as a result the quality and presentation of the food suffered. One item ordered was never received and to be quite frank the fried Lamb with ginger and spring onions was awful. Never to be tried again. When pointed out to the waiting staff that we did not receive one of the dishes ordered we were told in no uncertain terms that he didn't take the original order so it wasn't down to him. No apology. Normally a great restaurant but on this occasion not so good.

Excellent food, great service. Thoroughly recommended. The entrance to the restaurant looks a bit tired, but don't let that put you off, I would definitely go back again.

The food was great, and a very wide selection including many authentic Chinese food items.

The service was a bit patchy, some servers were very attentive but we did sit with empty posted after finishing for a long time.

    Would definitely go again.

The overall experience was below average. First of all they did not check the booking through the website on the day. Second, the food was quite poor. We drove up to Birmingham to try this restaurants because of the reviews we read online and we were very disappointed. We ordered dimsum that did not arrive even when we finished our meal and the staff still tried to charge us although we have never seen the dimsum coming to our table.
    Only good point: location

Set menu for 2 for £21 was great, the beef was liked by both of us best, followed by the chicken dish. Both of us felt the fish dish was disappointing, but overall a really good meal. Service was friendly and good. All in all a great relaxing meal,

Unfortunately, you can't book Chung Ying online on this site
