One of London's original American restaurants, Christopher's has been a steakhouse favourite since opening in 1991. The iconic Grade II-listed Victorian building is set in the heart of Theatreland, and with its soaring high ceilings and sweeping staircases, has been reborn in an intimate yet stylish blend of history and contemporary dining. Bask in Christopher's Dining Room, the famed Martini Bar, or a new Club Room for private events.
The finest American flavours and stateside staples are served up at Christopher's: expect prime cuts of USDA steak, surf 'n' turf, Maryland crab cakes, and Missouri-rubbed rack of lamb with Boston beans.
Weekend brunch at Christopher's is a speciality, covering everything from light and healthy offerings, to classic egg dishes and American-style pancakes. More substantial options come from well-loved signature dishes, such as steak and eggs, and corned beef hash with béarnaise sauce.
Christopher's glamourous, Art-Deco Martini Bar is set on th ground floor, and boasts an extensive drinks list, with classic cocktails given a Christopher's twist. Sample the playful 'Earl Grey Mar-Tea-Ni' (combining Earl Grey infused Bombay Sapphire Gin with Matcha tea syrup, fresh lemon juice and orange bitters), or the Martini Bar food menu, offering casual dining. with a menu which runs from small sharing plates to salads, clubs and Po' boys.
Homemade desserts and decadent sweet Martinis are served in the bar all day until late, making Christopher's Martini Bar the perfect destination throughout the day and night.

We had Sunday brunch. The welcome was polite but not very warm. In general the food was excellent but we were given stale bread and told it was all like that because bread deliveries weren't made at week-ends. That is an unbelievable excuse. The service was done pleasantly but rather unprofessionally. This restaurant needs re-decorating inside and out, better management and staff-training and fresh bread then it would be wonderful.

We ordered from the pre-theatre menu, good choice but the main meal comes as meat/fish only so does become a little more expensive when you order side dishes, which you do need in order to make it a meal. This could be made a little clearer on the web-site advertising as a pre-theatre dinner advertised at [$] for two courses, [$] for two people, became a meal for [$] for two people. However, the food was excellent and well worth the money.

Dined at 20:00 on 23rd December. Admittedly, not many guests but the staff treated us with warmth and attentiveness. We felt like we had our own personal team, working to make our experience wonderful!
