We had another good meal at Chiquito in Poole however our cocktails were originally served to us in tins rather than glasses which we felt was a bit cheap. We did request the cocktails be put in glasses and this did happen however my friend did say afterwards that her Pina Colada had tasted of plastic.

Lovely staff, friendly atmosphere and great food. We went for my daughters 18th birthday with the family but upon booking I didn't mention it as she didn't want any fuss. The waitress however noticed and at the end of our main meal brought her over a complimentary birthday brownie with the message 'Happy Birthday' written in cinnamon sugar. I thought that was a really lovely gesture. Would definitely eat there again

Been here many times. Relaxed but efficient service, the waitress was very helpful and understanding considering we were a large party with children and a baby.

From the moment we was shown to our table the waitress made us feel uncomfortable, as though she didn't want to serve us & that taking our time to decide which cocktails to choose was an inconvenience to her, baring in mind I'd not even had chance to sit down when she was waiting impatiently for our drinks order!! Onto the food... pina colada prawns were burnt, no apology from the waitress , she just said 'that was the last of the prawns so I'll take it of the bill'
My friends steak which she asked to be cooked medium to well, came one half of the rib eye well done & burnt & the other half bloody & more medium rare!! Strange!!!
My tacos were burnt around the edges & so was the cheese, the filling also very dry & bland, luckily the salsa & sour cream salvaged them!!
My other friends flat bread was dry & tasteless, so that also got sent back & taken off the bill, much to the waitresses annoyance made clear by her facial expressions towards us, when asking her manager why it had been sent back!! All the other members of staff were friendly & helpful, no idea why ours felt the need to be unfriendly & miserable!!
Our cocktails were lovely, as was the wine, so this made up for the food!!

First time we've eaten in Chiquitos for about 3 years but we both love Mexican food so thought we'd give it a go (took advantage of having a babysitter for the evening)!
Food was very tasty - I had the Chimichanga which I really enjoyed and my husband has his 'usual' which was the fajitas. He enjoyed his meal too but there has been a significant reduction in the portion size since our last visit!! Now you only get 3 small wraps and only 2 strips of chicken per wrap.
Couldn't really fault the atmosphere or the staff - polite and friendly, although when we paid for our meal (we paid cash) the waitress never returned with our change...now, the 'change' was going to be the tip (10%) but quite annoyed that they apparently assumed that to be the case!!

Our experience was very poor. 50 minutes to get our food and the quality of the food when it did arrive was poor. Lots of chili on everything but no flavour. Won't be returning. Very expensive treat left us feeling a bit cheated.
