A haven for fish lovers, Chippers Cockfosters has become a local staple for the freshest seafood in London, as well as a favourite for traditional fish and chips. Classic British favourites sit alongside popular tastes of the continent, and the laid-back ambience of the restaurant makes this a wonderfully approachable spot all through the day.
All the fish on the Chippers Cockfosters menu is sustainably sourced, and delivered fresh every day. To start, there are vintage British favourites like prawn cocktail, as well as international delicacies like chargrilled Mediterranean king prawns cooked in garlic butter, and the exotic fish kofta. Fish on the main menu can be grilled, fried in batter or matzo, and include choices like cod, haddock and sea bream. There is also scampi, seasonal choices, and indulgent specialities like lobster. For those not into fish, there are also options like juicy sirloin steak, butterfly chicken fillet, and marinated kebabs.
A concise wine list is also served at Chippers in Cockfosters, with carefully selected international bottles. For those not wanting a sit-down meal, there is also a takeaway facility at the restaurant.
Serving up a great selection of classic British seafood dishes alongside international flavours, Chippers Cockfosters sits only a minute's walk from Cockfosters Tube Station.

Chippers is by far one of the best fish restaurants in town. Quality food with lots of fish varieties and menu options to choose from.
Service is great, very attentive and friendly staff, who certainly know how to provide customer satisfaction.
Will definitely be revisiting!

Had a fantastic lunch, chose the lunch menu which was excellent value for money. The restaurant is spotless and the service is 5 star. We will be calling here again.

The full sea bream and the battered haddock was lovely, the battered haddock was lovely and light. I have been back to this restaurant now 3 times and each time the food has been amazing. The only thing that lets the restaurant down is the service, there is only member of staff. Therefore it causes bad service as you have half the order whilst he's trying to juggle with other customers then basics like tartare sauce you have to ask for. It's such a shame because this spoils the whole dining experience.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious although a bit pricey than what we expected but they serve a generous portion so it balanced out. The best fish and chips we have tasted. A fish and chips restaurant with class!!
