Second time here - first was very successful. Had the same dish - monkfish in a spicy black bean sauce had been excellent but was really poor this time: overcooked, stringy fish. Mentioned this. Scarcley a reaction. No apology. No discount. Nul points!

I have eaten here before and the food and service are always excellent. Haven't been there for a while and went yesterday - they've reorganise the menu, making it easier to navigate and REDUCED the prices. No drop in quality, however, it was an excellent lunch with friendly service.

The service was basically non existent. The waiter mumble what I presume was a hello, waited for us to say the name we booked under and mumbled something else which we presumed was follow me and we were shown to table. That was the service the whole meal... mumbles and assumption. He at no point asked how the meal was. I'm surprised we got what we ordered, as I wasn't sure he spoke English. I've had better service at a beefeater.
The starters were probably the highlight for us. Duck spring rolls (stuffed full of duck) and prawn toast. Great.
The mains were generally of good quality but overpriced for what they were (Singapore noodles, Kung po chicken, soft shell crab, three veg). They came out in cold bowls, so turned cold pretty quickly. The soft shell crab was very dry.
Ambiance may have been ok if we hadn't been seated in a slightly separate quiet area away from the rest of the diners.
For £90 (inc £10 service, ha!) this was an expensive mediocre Chinese. And we weren't even drinking.
Sad since this was our last date night in London before our first baby is born.

The Chinese menu was comprehensive and the food was excellent in terms of authenticity, presentation and taste. The menu is quite pricey, but then that's a reflection of the quality of the food.
