Early booking 5pm, food was rather tasteless. French onion soup, was too creamy and with barely no onion taste. Burnt almonds on the apple & almond crumble, which were covered over by more crumble, which resembled cardboard. The staff were very attentive. There was only 5 others eating at the same time as us.All the other restaurants around seemed much busier,

Two 40 something women on a business lunch. Have eaten here several times before, this time was disappointing. Not enough space between chairs so waiter was bumping into the back of my chair and carrying food over my head. I requested my fillet as medium, it was definitely well done. This was replaced with a poor piece of meat, they only renewed the fries not the veg. This left my dining partner to eat alone.

we were really disappointed in the food. the menu reflects quality, but the food seemed to be microwaved, beef bourgignon should have been tender but it was tough - and the same with the replacement meal. it just didnt appear to be freshly cooked food, and not at all what i would expect from this restaurant and at these prices.

We went there about 19.00 hrs on a Wednesday night. The service was fast and efficient. The onglas steaks we had were fine. The wine was a very good companion to them. Unless our aging eyes missed them, the choice of aperitifs was very limited. The value quoted above may be tempered by the Chez Gerard voucher we used.

We needed a good place to eat close to the Dominion Theatre on Tottenham Court Road. Our table was booked for 5:00pm and we were the only diners at that time although the place quickly started to fill after our arrival. Service was very good and the food nice. We had a choice of venues with [...] vouchers and ended up pleased with our decision.

Unsure what this chain would deliver, but actually very impressed. Well-cooked, good value lunch in a expensive area of London
