went for a business lunch. hugely disappointed with the food, the steaks when served were cold and my ribeye (not cheap) was really tough and was my business partners. nice atmosphere, and the service was ok.

We had lunch in the restaurant, the food was great. My only slight grumble would be the waitress gave little time to look at the menu before wanting to take our order. When I explained we would like a few minutes she insited on going through the specials and we could barely understand her accent. In addition, we ordered a side order which never came.

Had a lovely meal but considering what we had we felt the price was high. One glass of wine, a main meal and dessert plus coffee= [$]

I had previously been here on a Wednesday and it was extremely quiet, however arriving at 1pm on a Thursday we found it very busy. The wait for the food was a little longer and we had to ask for drink refills - but the food was worth the wait. The cost of the burger was acceptable but [$]for 6 small diet cokes was a bit much.

Service was slow. Food and wine good but a bit pricey for what it was. Enjoyed by our party of 5

21/06/11 - A great lunch venue. Easy to have complicated, private discussion without concern of being overheard, yet at no time was background noise or service intrusive. Good food, decent service, fair prices. Will eat there again.

Chez Gerard is convenient but it is preposterously overpriced for what it is. I felt ripped off.

Dinner at 7.30 - bar & restaurant almost deserted - staff keen for us to leave at 10pm. Lack of clientele meant service was claustrophobic. Food very good - shame about atmosphere.

I like the upstairs as it is a warm atmosphere and very like a French Bistro

Early evening meal. Unknowledgeable staff, very poor food for example: tiny flavourless oysters; tough beef in the beef casserole.
