Restaurant description

Housed inside a magnificent 4-star country manor hotel, Chesford Grange is served in the luxurious library, and offers a selection of indulgent British dishes and afternoon teas, alongside more contemporary touches like signature cocktails.

The Chesford Grange menu spans from sharing boards and sumptuous grilled meats, through to perfected main courses served with creative flair. Sample the likes of lamb rump with lemon thyme dauphinoise and asparagus, or fish pie with cauliflower & celeriac gratin.

All the traditional treats are served on the Chesford Grange afternoon tea menu, and come beautifully presented. To start, there are delicate finger sandwiches with gourmet fillings, moving on to home-baked plain and sultana scones served with Cornish clotted cream and red berry preserves. A selection of expertly prepared desserts are also included at Chesford Grange in Kenilworth, such as mixed macarons and dark chocolate delice with brandy snap tuile. As well as a selection of loose leaf teas, diners can opt for glasses of champagne and prosecco, and even signature cocktails to add another level of indulgence to their meal.

Filled with historic charm and set moments from the banks of the River Avon, Chesford Grange is a 10-minute drive from Leamington Spa Rail Station.

Had booked afternoon Tea for two. Experience was amazing. The host was very friendly and his service was fast and neat. We were given an exclusive side end that had nice sofas and book shelve at the back. Enjoyed our time. Even the food was super tasty.

Disappointed. Firstly the restaurant wasn’t open so we were seated in the bar area. I had looked at the menu online before we arrived and was looking forward to a lamb shank. Because it was ‘quiet‘ head chef was not running the full menu so my choice was not available I was informed. At first there was only one member of staff serving and he was run off his feet. He was later joined by another member of staff but both coped very well under the circumstances. Breakfast was excellent in the restaurant

Food not worth the money. Asked for Horseradish Sauce for Steak, never arrived. Steak was tough , chewy. Breakfast was slightly better. Frozen berries with melon, skin on beans, obviously from being under hot light. Coffee cold, Green Tea weak, cheap, had to leave tea bag in cup, still weak. Waitress who served breakfast walked away whilst I was asking her a question, didn't seem interested. All in all, won't be staying again.

Absolutely excellent food and service. The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful. Very difficult to highlight individuals, however, Elaina and Joe in the restaurant and Alex in reception. Totally professional in all they did and Joe could cheer anyone up.

Restaurant is large and spacious. Sanitising station obvious. Fantastic staff that are friendly and efficient. The food is ok but very expensive for what is actually on your plate. More healthy options needed. My wife had the salmon which was cooked well but the sautéed potatoes were very greasy and the broccoli was cold in places.

A wonderful family afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. We were offered the library and it was a huge hit. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

Choice was limited because of Covid, but was sufficient. I would have liked to have seen a steak choice. However, the fish and chips were sublime, and so was the treacle tart. The table service was excellent. I was seated at the time booked, and ordered within a couple of minutes. Breakfast was not buffet, but service was prompt. Choice was wide ranging, and superbly presented. The experience was satisfying.
