as always was amazing! The chicken with plum sauce and the Thai Pai chicken. The only issue, and for the first time is that the terrace (castle views) it was extremely hot! it was not only for the beautiful sunny day, but there was no ventilation at all, so was not very pleasant.

Lovely venue, good service and varied menu. More trendy than authentic perhaps.

All good with booking and changing amount of guests, no problems. Have been to chaophraya on 3 previous occasions and have loved the food . Venue is lovely, staff very hard working and attentive , however I personally was disappointed in the lamb Masaman which I always get, the lamb was tough and the dish not very hot, it would nt put me off coming again but it was disappointing as I had recommended it 2 of our guests who were there for the first time. A good night was still enjoyed, but felt the standard of some of the food had dropped.

I booked the restaurant as a birthday treat for a friend while we were visiting Edinburgh, so I wasn't familiar with it and relied on on-line reviews for my choice. It was a fantastic experience; the views from the glass walled dining room were breathtaking, very elegant surroundings and decor. The service was superb and the menu choices were fantastic. Beautifully presented dishes which tasted as good as they looked. A lovely touch serving birthday cake to my friend which was most unexpected!! Thank you to the attentive staff. Perfect evening.
