Restaurant description

Serving up rustic French fare, Champagne + Fromage sits on the edge of Greenwich Market. Wine bottles line the walls and charcuterie hangs from the ceiling, creating a classically French feel.

From frogs’ legs to snails and charcuterie boards, the Champagne + Fromage menu is both succinct and enveloping. Try the Savoyard tartine with stringy melted raclette cheese, thinly sliced potatoes, onions, fennel salami and Corsican ham. Other favourites include the fromage board, laden with grapes, bread, quince paste and your choice of any 3 cheeses from a 30-strong selection. The intriguing mix of chocolate and cheese features on the dessert menu, with the option of a chocolate fondant with Bleu des Basques cheese.

Informed staff will help to pick the perfect bottle of bubbles to suit your meal at Champagne + Fromage bistro. Champagne and Fromage Greenwich offers regular tasting sessions, which compile carefully chosen champagne bins, artisanal cheeses and foie gras.

A stone’s throw from the river, Champagne + Fromage London brings timeless French character to the heart of Greenwich. Cutty Sark and Greenwich stations are both a short walk away.

Cosy and fun, but you do need to book as there aren’t many tables.

I was there last Friday for dinner and it was amazing. We order the duck confit, baked Camembert and the board with selection of 7 cheeses. The portions of each cheese on the board was surprisgly big! I’ve had cheese boards in other places and they barely give you a bite of each cheese but in here me and my partner were able to enjoy ourselves! The environment is super relaxing and the service is amazing. We will be coming back for sure!

Really nice staff, we were a little late for our arrival time but we called and they were lovely about it. V small and v busy (it was a Friday evening) but we didn’t feel rushed to vacate the table. Lovely drinks and food. Bit pricey but worth it for the quality. Interesting music choices! Lighting could be a little less harsh but apart from that all good. Would recommend and will go again if they’ll have us!

Great spot to meet friends. Small venue but great cheese selection. Very nice service and lots of fun. A little on he pricy side but definitely one of the nicest places to meet in central greenwich.

My girlfriend and I dined here yesterday evening following a recommendation from the London Restaurant Festival. The restaurant has a quaint and friendly atmosphere, the manager was attentive and quick to solve an problems. We were fortunate enough to receive a second complimentary camembert (absolutely delicious!) and glass of house champagne which was fantastic! We had a wonderful time at this restaurant and followed up with a stroll around the cute sark, well worth the short trip out of central London!
