A Parisian-style hideaway in well-heeled Knightsbridge, Chabrot has been showered with praise by some of the industry’s most revered critics. Giles Coren described Chabrot’s food as ‘excellent’ in his well-respected column in The Times.

Led by a fleet of diehard food and wine enthusiasts, the Chabrot menu compiles French bistro classics and perfected signature dishes. Simple dishes crafted using supreme produce include crispy baby squid with Espelette peppers, snails in parsley butter, or duck liver pate. House favourites include homemade pasta dishes, or duck le confit with green beans and warm potato salad.

An extensively researched wine list at Chabrot in Knightsbridge features some of the market’s most sought-after vintages. Sumptuous charcuterie boards are also offered for more casual French dining in London.

Exuding timeless French chic, the dining room is filled with chocolate leather banquettes, rich claret tones and elaborate canvas prints. Chabrot in London is a 2-minute walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

We ate here on our first night of seven in London. I can't imagine a better start to our most recent London experience. From the moment we entered, we felt like welcome and valued customers. The staff was personable, professional, and efficient. The food coming from the kitchen was superb. My first course of mussels was wonderful. They were perfectly cooked, and the white wine/cream broth was just perfect. My wife had the house salad and told me it, too was excellent and dressed with a delightfully light vinaigrette. The mains of cod and duck were "to die for." My wife can't remember ever having more delicious duck, and my seared cod was sheer perfection. The prices are quite reasonable, making Chabrot a wonderful value as well as an excellent dining experience.

Lovely little French place, the decor is very rustic and the ambiance is genuinely warm and French. Even the radio station was French, which was lovely. The staff were very attentive and friendly! We thought the food was good, but a little dry. I ordered a main off the set menu, which they had ran out of, so the waiter kindly offered me to choose a main off the a la carte menu, which was much appreciated! I would recommend this place for a relaxed evening, you will feel miles away from London..

We dined on the AmEx restaurant week prix fixe menu. The restaurant is charming and in an excellent location a few hundred meters from Harrods, the food was a solid 7/10, and the wine was both excellent and reasonably well priced. Unfortunately, though, I felt that the prix fixe menu was provided very grudgingly and I am not sure that a party of four ordering from the main menu would have had a mandatory 12.5% service charge added to their bill, as we did.

    Recommended, with caveats.

Chose this restaurant from the London Restaurant Festival website, and went for dinner with an old friend. It's quite small so I wouldn't recommend going with someone you laugh hysterically with because everyone WILL hear you, but I would definitely recommend it for a romantic dinner with a date. Its cosy, very French, service is great, food is yummy!! And the waitress was very patient and polite when me and my friend literally fought over the bill for like, 10 minutes.
