Overall the experience was good. Staff were attentive. We stayed the whole night from 7pm until close. Eating food then drinks. Drinks were fine, cocktails lovely. Recommission - when you have spent £8 on a cocktail the staff should ask if finished before swooping away. This was done on a couple of occasions. Chicken supreme was lovely - recommendation to serve the sauce on the side or slightly less. It’s very rich so seems to take over the meal. As the night progress, put prelit candles out (if COVID safe) to add a little more ambience to it. I don’t want to seem negative it’s about offering our party of 5’s views. Little things I feel can make the experience better.

We arrived about 5 minutes early & where shown to our table straight away. A server promptly took our drinks order & gave us options how to view the Sunday lunch menu , barcode scanner on table or view menu online & also provides ya with a paper menu. We didn’t really want a starter but just fancied something small to share , even though it wasn’t advertised on the menu we asked for bread olive oil & balsamic vinegar which our server was more than happy to provide . The Sunday lunch was excellent we all had the beef roast dinner , which was a good portion size & popping hot . Would have like carrot & turnip mash but not many places provide this on Sunday dinner. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding which also was delicious. Service was excellent & with a smile. Great atmosphere .

Food was amazing. We got a share platter for starter. Few of us had the chicken with dauphinois potatoes for main and it was lovely. Staff were great and ensured we had drinks and table cleared often

Misadvertised as participating in the ‘eat out to help out scheme’ when they weren’t. We were presented with a full priced bill and the waitress flippantly explained that she was fully aware of the misadvertisement as many customers had mentioned it, and that they’d finally been off the list of participating restaurants earlier today. Had this been mentioned to us upon arrival, we would have been able to make an informed decision as to whether to dine there.
