Waiters getting to be more attentive early on but seem to lose interest after 10pm. Unable to attract a waiter to order a sweet and had to go to the bar to order. In all the well run restaurents each waiter has tables allocated so he/she can give a better service. The waiters seem unable to do seperate bills. The waiters lack focus later on. Always polite but loss of focus later on is letting them down.

The restaurant atmosphere is quite nice and relaxing, it's my first time to dine in there. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon myself, no one greet me until I approached a staff saying that I want to dine in. The staff gave me the a la carte menu a few minutes after I sat down. No one approach me even I put the menu on the table and looking around. Finally someone walked towards my table, so I asked if I could have a set menu as well (I assume they should give that to me together with the a la carte menu). I ordered a glass of white wine, the staff took the wine to me without a tray, it doesn't look professional at all.... I ordered Parma Ham & Melon for starter, it tasted okay but the presentation was bad. It looked like the chef just put everything randomly on a plate. I had Chicken & Asparagus Risotto for main, again it tasted quite good. I finished the main, no one approached me if everything okay, no one approached me to remove the plate. I sat there for a long while, at least 20 minutes and looking for someone to get me the bill. There were 5 staff with 9 customers. They were all standing near the bar, but did not pay any attention to me. Finally I have to walk to the cashier and ask for a bill directly. The food is not expensive and tastes okay, but the service won't make you return again.

We came accross cafe concerto by chance and decided to dine there as it looked stylish and clean, we were greeted by a staff member who pushed 2 tables together one needed cleaning and the arrangement seemed to cause a problem. After much deliberating the waiters finally agreed to seat us at these tables even though it was relatively quiet. After waiting for about 10 mins we finally were able to order our drinks and food. The set menu was excellent value for money and every dish was very tasty. As with the other review service was disappointing, staff were unsure what was ordered and brought us food that was not ours or the wrong desert. We are hoping this was a one off as we would definately dine here again because of the ambiance (enhanced by the piano player) and the great tasting food.

Place itself and food was relay nice.Service was no professional at all. We arrived for a dinner at 7.30pm it was 3 of us. Place wasn't busy at all.We were waiting for someone to get us a drinks for about15-20min. Staff would not look around to see if we need to order our drinks.Once bottle of rose wine arrived on our table the waiter has open the bottle, ready to pour the wine and there was no wine glasses at the table!!! Food was excellent but again no one asked while we were eating about the food taste.Waiting way too long to ask for a bill.At the end we end up paying [$] service charge! Rubbish:(((

We dined at about 8pm. We got there early to take advantage of their great half price cocktail offer. Open Mike sessions on a Tuesday night definitely worth a visit.
