Very civilised. Spirali (courgette) spaghetti was excellent.

From the owners of 2 AA Rosette-winning Caldesi in Campagna, Caffe Caldesi brings little-known Italian recipes to London. A bright and breezy dining room is offset by relaxed al fresco dining out on the cobbled pavement.

Bringing lovingly crafted, homemade Italian delicacies to London since 2002, family-run Caffe Caldesi London prides itself on authenticity and tradition. As well as homemade pasta freshly rolled by the Tuscan chef, Caldesi menu favourites include Roman-style slow-cooked chicken thighs, or succulent beef medallions with green peppercorns and sautéed broccoli.

As well as an impressive wine stock and a lengthy list of rich Italian coffee blends, Caffe Caldesi Marylebone offers luxurious Italian desserts. Enjoy orange panna cotta with almond tuile, or rich and gooey flourless chocolate cake.

A failsafe family favourite, the Caldesi restaurant dining room is filled with soft murals and bistro-style furnishings, whilst expansive sash windows bathe the restaurant in natural light. Bond Street Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

One of my favourite restaurants, delicious food and wine, atmosphere a bit subdued as there were not many other diners ( seemed strange for a Friday night but perhaps it was the heat). Definitely recommend.

I expected more. the food was ok, but the pasta was poor: overcooked, warm and without enough ingredients. Frankly disappointing.

Very kind manager and a few very good dishes including the pappardelle and the octopus and potatoes. Nice ambience. Fried squids left me a bad sensation, probably the oil was re-used. The waitress was a bit annoying always coming around to fill our glasses with water.

Warm welcome at door and individual attention. Tuesday night but full, good sign. Attentive service without being over the top. Friendly human staff.
Good size portions, luckily stuck to only 3 courses.

Fantastic - the restaurant upstairs is beautiful, and the food delicious and perfectly cooked, as well as authentic. The service is most charming and delightful. I wish I could eat there every day - particularly for lunch, just like Federico Fellini at Al Moro in Rome (although of course Caffe Caldesi is not dedicatedly Roman). Five stars plus. This is an absolutely authentic review.
