Café Rouge Stratford-upon-Avon serves French brasserie-style cuisine. Boasting a private garden and an al fresco dining area, Café Rouge is a 3-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.
As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.
In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.
Spacious yet inviting, the dining room at Café Rouge – Stratford-upon-Avon imitates an authentic Parisian café.

Good experience, food OK, service good. Slight problem with a badly chipped glass jug which was quickly rectified.

We ate here inbetween theatre trips. The service was good, the staff friendly and efficient. The food was nondescript. We both had French onion soup, which had soggy bread in it and both had salads which must have cost about a sixth of the price to assemble than was priced on the menu. Very underwhelming.

The steak was good but still feel the price of drinks and puddings are too high. But love the experience
