Serving good quality French cuisine at great prices, Café Rouge St Pauls is set halfway between St Paul's Cathedral and the Thames.
As part of the popular UK-wide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their signature range of French dishes such as deep-fried camembert, baguettes, beef bourguignon and mussels. Lighter dishes are also available if you are short on time, and the set menus are excellent value for money for those on a budget. There is also a good range of French wines, several from lesser known producers.
As you would expect from a French restaurant, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With omelettes, croissants, pain au chocolat and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.
With Fleet Street, Bank and Mansion House in the surrounding area, St Pauls Café Rouge is right in the heart of the City, but it still attracts its fair share of groups, families and couples, as well as business people.

When we booked we asked for a window table if possible and were given a very nice table even though they were quite full. Our waitresses were very friendly and pleasant a serve us well. We ate from the Christmas menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A ver good experience.

Really good service but not pushy. Food delicious and reasonable time in coming Wondered about the difference between Service charge and gratuity, service charge which was included was a reasonable 8% and we added a small gratuity of 3% will be back

Lovely atmosphere and kind and helpful waitress. Food was really good - 2 of us had Breton Chicken, my son had the duck - his favourite and 2 had steaks, delicious Malbec at a great price, it was nice to be able to use a Buy 1 main get 1 for £1. There were 5 of us, my adult children and I and we were going on to the Globe so pre-theatre - timing was fine
Biggest disappointment though was the bar - I ordered a Pomegranate gin and tonic - but was just given an ordinary G&T and we had 2 Kir Royale and 1 Aperol Spritz - all expensive but very poor. Too much soda in the Aperol Spritz, Kir Royales made with some sweet unpleasant strawberry liqueur not Cassis, James's beer was fine. I did query the gin but was assured it was what I ordered and as I was meeting up with my children I didn't want to spoil it by sending drinks back. I won't order aperitifs again though and this is the first time I have been disappointed -
