Serving good quality French cuisine at great prices, Café Rouge St Pauls is set halfway between St Paul's Cathedral and the Thames.

As part of the popular UK-wide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their signature range of French dishes such as deep-fried camembert, baguettes, beef bourguignon and mussels. Lighter dishes are also available if you are short on time, and the set menus are excellent value for money for those on a budget. There is also a good range of French wines, several from lesser known producers.

As you would expect from a French restaurant, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With omelettes, croissants, pain au chocolat and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

With Fleet Street, Bank and Mansion House in the surrounding area, St Pauls Café Rouge is right in the heart of the City, but it still attracts its fair share of groups, families and couples, as well as business people.

    Extremely slow service
Wrong food turned up for a diner, meaning they got theirs after everyone had finished
Vegetables didn’t turn up for another until almost finished
My ordered coke didn’t turn up after asking for it twice, went and got it myself at the bar after 20 mins, despite 6 people standing around at that end of the bar (not an exaggeration, I actually counted when I was getting my own drink)

Staff were still very nice though.

Selection of food for the price was very reasonable for our team Christmas Lunch and well cooked and presented. As it was peak season the service was a little rushed at times, otherwise pleasant hosting.

Dined a few times with Cafe Rouge; sometimes it's good and sometimes something dissappointing happens. This time, at Cafe Rouge St Paul's, they had no ribeye steak and their cold draft beer taps had broken. The small bottles of cold lager in the fridge were nearly £5 ( so around £10 for a pint). Very small portions of fries. On a previous occasion we arrived at our on line booked table at Cafe Rouge Charring Cross to find it was closing that evening and all food had gone.
