Serving good quality French cuisine at great prices, Café Rouge St Pauls is set halfway between St Paul's Cathedral and the Thames.

As part of the popular UK-wide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their signature range of French dishes such as deep-fried camembert, baguettes, beef bourguignon and mussels. Lighter dishes are also available if you are short on time, and the set menus are excellent value for money for those on a budget. There is also a good range of French wines, several from lesser known producers.

As you would expect from a French restaurant, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With omelettes, croissants, pain au chocolat and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

With Fleet Street, Bank and Mansion House in the surrounding area, St Pauls Café Rouge is right in the heart of the City, but it still attracts its fair share of groups, families and couples, as well as business people.

Dined a few times with Cafe Rouge; sometimes it's good and sometimes something dissappointing happens. This time, at Cafe Rouge St Paul's, they had no ribeye steak and their cold draft beer taps had broken. The small bottles of cold lager in the fridge were nearly £5 ( so around £10 for a pint). Very small portions of fries. On a previous occasion we arrived at our on line booked table at Cafe Rouge Charring Cross to find it was closing that evening and all food had gone.

Best features was nice atmosphere in brasserie-style and seasonal menus. We went for set-menu that had excellent price-quality ratio. Starters were great, my main (minute steak) was ok, but not the best meat. Understandably so, since the 2-course menu was for 12.95 - you don't expect to get kobe at that price;) Service was friendly and attentive. Wine selection by glass was good and desserts look ready tempting, but miraculously only those 2 courses were quite enough. Certainly going back for a lunch, dinner or even breakfast

Excellent food and service at a reasonable price, perfectly positioned in the shadow of St Pauls Cathedral. Very attentive waiter who rushed out to give my wife back her purse when she left it in the restaurant.
