Serving a fantastic range of French dishes, Café Rouge Glasgow brings a delightful Parisian vibe to the city centre. The al fresco area is perfect for enjoying light bites and a glass of fine wine.

As part of the nationwide chain of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

Rich in charm and Parisian style, Glasgow Café Rouge is 3 minutes’ walk from Glasgow Queen Street Rail Station.

went there a few weeks ago and only one girl serving though she did a great job and had a smile for customers, went back again with family and again one girl serving but this one didn't have a smile! Food was good but service poor and slow. Be giving it a miss for a while and hopefuly they will get to grips with their staffing problems.

One man ran whole floor area including bar and was very good at it. We dined on a Monday evening therefore it was quiet.

We often dine at Cafe Rouge as we love France and it creates, in our eyes, an authentic French atmosphere. It is near Central Station so we can hop on a train with no worries about parking and can have a glass or 2 or even 3 of our favourite Vin Rouge. We like to dine early so we booked for 6pm. Service was fairly quick so we didn't have to wait too long for our food. We never felt rushed to finish our meal.

We dined at 13:00. We had reserved and were a few mnutes early - but were taken right away. I had eaten at Cafe Rouge before and had been impressed with the food, but it had been very slow service at that time, and so wanted to try again. No improvement. 35 minutes waiting for food to be served after order. Had to request bill. Would have had dessert but didn't have the patience to wait again. When asking the waitress why service is always so slow, she stated that she was the only waitress working? However there were several other staff available. I think the method of getting food from the kitchen by dumbwaiter is causing unacceptable delays. Please fix this as I like everything else about the place. The food and the atmosphere are lovely. But there's no excuse for service this slllooooowwwww....

Enjoyed the experience but 3 of the party ordered steaks and all were over-cooked. The minute steak was nearly all gristle. All other meals were fine.

meal and service were good. was not happy about our position in the back part of the restaurant. I had booked our table the previous evening and if i had known we were to be tucked away in the back room next to a table of 2 adults and two babies we would probably gone elsewhere. i understand this cannot always be helped but the children were crying whilst we were trying to talk

Menu had varied and excelent vegetarian choices. Made us welcome and wished party member happy birthday. Balloons on table but no brash 'birthday stuff'. 7.30 Monday booking: quiet but not empty.
