Traditional French dishes are on the menu at Café Rouge Gerrards Cross. Offering al fresco dining both at the front and also in a private garden, Café Rouge is within a 2-minute walk of high street shops.
As part of the nationwide group of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.
In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.
A 5-minute walk from Gerrards Cross Train Station, Café Rouge French restaurant offers diners traditional French cuisine at an affordable price.

Service somewhat haphazard. I got my meal as the others had nearly finished, but its price was removed from the bill. Food OK but not with the wow factor.

Overall a pleasant evening meal, though surprisingly quiet for the Friday evening before Christmas. Sharing charcuterie board with melted Camembert and crab pate was good value and very tasty, though had to ask for more bread as only 2 small pieces each originally offered. Mains - coq-au-vin and confit of duck (both staple Cafe Rouge items) were full of flavour, but dauphinois potatoes too dry. Overall food good, just a shame about the ambiance. Drinks on the steep side, especially soft drinks.
