On arrival I was asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside as it was a lovely evening. We opted for 'inside' but by the open door. Ali, who has been serving us since my grand-daughter was very young, introduced us to our waitress who was very helpful throughout our visit. The manager checked that were happy with our food. I chose the prawn starter and my daughter chose the camembert. I opted for the Poulet Breton which had a very tasty sauce and several veetables with mashed potato. My daughter tried the new salmon option which had a tasty sauce and was served with asparagus and samphire. Idie chose a large hamburger. I shared a desert and tried the pecan pie which I had never had before whereas Idie enjoyed a crème brulee. The service was excellent and personal. We allenjoyed seeing each other and the fine dining - a treat thanks to our Tesco vouchers!

Then guy who severed us was lovely. Dinner was really disappointing. We had the 2 courses for 14.95. Well they were tiny portions more like starter sizes and we were starving when we returned home. Not sure we shall be returning.

The staff especially The Manger gave a great welcome and the service really did stand out. The new bistro rump was cooked to perfection, in fact all the food was of the best quality..
