Excellent afternoon tea, a little bit different. The cup of hot mushroom soup was very welcome on a cold wet afternoon.

We had an afternoon tea. Which I can honestly say was exceptional value for money. Especially when you look at the prices of other venues in the city. We were shown straight to our table even though we were slightly early and our food was brought out within minutes. The food was beautifully served and delicious and the waiting staff looked after us extremely well. Worth worth every penny and I wouldn't hesitate going there again.

All my guests were impressed by the range of food, all was delicious, and very good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. I have tried various venues for afternoon tea, and the Portait Gallery serve one of the best I have had. I like that it was served in the room that provides more privacy.

Excellent from start to finish, service was fast and nothing was too much trouble. The savoury food was lovely and just enough. Potato salad was gorgeous. Then the cakes and scones were just amazing!! Defo will be back.

Afternoon tea was great from start to finish, we were shown to our table, offered water, asked if we would prefer tea or coffee and then our treats were brought to us and we were told about everything on the two serving plates can`t fault our experience and would certainly recommend `Café Portrait` Also offered more drinks.

My friend was treating me to afternoon tea for my birthday. What a lovely afternoon we had. The service was excellent and the afternoon tea was first class. We started with a delicious Beetroot soup then tucked into fresh sandwiches and other savouries. Freshly made scones with homemade jam, and then onto a lovely selection of cakes. We were served my the manager who explained at the beginning about all the goodies we were about to eat. She was very friendly and professional. The China teapots and cups and saucers were also a really nice touch. Thankyou for a memorable afternoon.
