The cakes were delicious as also and so were the mini bagels. The member of staff was very attentive which was lovely. I have been a few times and love the setting. Unfortunately the soup was rather bland lentil whereas it is usually really interesting and different. Also, the sandwich of cream cheese and cucumber was rather bland - salmon would have been nice. Lastly the scones were rather dry. I will come back because it has been better every other time.

This is my fifth or sixth afternoon tea at Cafe Portrait and it's always been exceptional. Beautifully presented and imaginatively thought out, both the standard and the vegetarian options are excellent value for money and feel special. Highly recommended.
