Excellent afternoon tea, a little bit different. The cup of hot mushroom soup was very welcome on a cold wet afternoon.

We had a lovely afternoon tea which served in the quiet room. I loved the little bowl of soup and the beautiful presentation of the dishes. Very nice cake selection and we had our first taste of edible flowers. The scones would be my least favourite part as think I would have expected 'different' scones from the usual there and they were rather dry. Also one jar of jam and cream were a bit small portion for the four scones however the black currant jam was delicious.

Was given our afternoon tea as a gift.
Lovely variety. Petite soup. Lemony posset. Dainty delicious cakes.

It was one of impressive experiences for my first visit to the city of Edinburgh. Our table were nicely arranged for three persons in the coziest cornor of the tea room. The staff were rather busy that day but trying their best to render us timely service with friendly faces. Everything being served on the table, from tea cups, teapot, and the dessert tier, was pleasant and so was the taste of food. My friends and I were particulary impressed about the side dish of assorted tiny sandwiches with soup. They were absulotely delicious and really filled up our stomach. For the dessert, we all agreed with each other that the chocolate cake and the one that taste like soft creamy yogurt were the best. Overall, we really enjoyed our tea time at Cafe Gallery and we would love to recommend this place for those who are looking for a proper afternoon tea experience for a very reasonable price.

We had an afternoon tea. Which I can honestly say was exceptional value for money. Especially when you look at the prices of other venues in the city. We were shown straight to our table even though we were slightly early and our food was brought out within minutes. The food was beautifully served and delicious and the waiting staff looked after us extremely well. Worth worth every penny and I wouldn't hesitate going there again.

All my guests were impressed by the range of food, all was delicious, and very good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. I have tried various venues for afternoon tea, and the Portait Gallery serve one of the best I have had. I like that it was served in the room that provides more privacy.
