Byron Princesshay brings proper hamburgers to the heart of Exeter. Split over 2 floors, urban design features include exposed brick walls, sleek leather booth seating, and a theatrical open kitchen.
The Byron menu is made up of proper burgers, with something for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans alike. Made from 100% British grass-fed beef, patties are crafted with a unique blend of chuck, brisket and rib-cap, cooked medium so they’re pink and juicy, and served up in a squishy bun with fries or a house salad. Plus a cheeky pickle on the side. Favourites include the signature Byron and the vegan Beetnik burger.
Byron also offers a ‘Mini Byron’ kids menu, plus vegetarian and vegan options and fresh, vibrant salads. Round things off properly with fries, sides, own-recipe milkshakes, specially-selected craft beers and homemade desserts.
A family-friendly restaurant, Byron sits in the centre of town, an 8-minute walk from Exeter Central Rail Station.

Sadly a very unexceptional experience. When we went to pay the bill one of your “chefs” sneezed out aloud into his hands and then picked up 4 burgers to cook! On that basis I will never eat at Byron’s again. We even pointed this out to the “chef” who ignored us.

We all chose slightly different burgers, I went for the Byron burger 'medium' cooked and it was delicious. I had French fries and coleslaw, others had sweet potato fries and courgette fries - all were very tasty. We tried two desserts, chocolate brownie and white chocolate cheesecake, both were presented very nicely and tasted as good as they looked. The staff were very polite and patient with us as we were too busy chatting at first to look at the menu. Overall a very enjoyable experience, the only slight criticism would be that once you add the burger, fries and side you can be looking at a burger meal costing over £15, but you know the burger will be good!!

We enjoyed a really good meal here on the £14.95 special offer. Great cheeseburger with fries and craft beer plus a lovely quinoa salad with super good courgette fries and a beer. We have eaten here before and enjoyed really good service on both occasions.
